Somehow both of my teams had games go into triple overtime today which doesn't seem very plausible. And of course both are losses

EliteBPE has consistently proven to be an extremely tough team to beat for my squad. My condolences on the tough loss. I empathize with you tonight. I love this game and it's hard to walk away from a loss and still feel great. That's wild that both of your teams' match-ups went into triple-overtime though.

The USA Discord had a draft for the top U21 players the other day. The NT and U21 coaches are game testing the players in a intramural on Monday. Afterwards, the NT will be back to the typical players.

Interesting. I guess I still don't fully understand how merch works then. I was always under the impression that having an all-local team went a long way towards raising merch revenue.

I had a winning season, played particularly well down the stretch last season, played a solid team in my opener, and yet 4000 less fans came to our match than I was pulling at the end of last season. No idea what this game actually prioritizes anymore.

I know what you mean. From my experience, it feels like everything is reset at the beginning of the season. There is no knowledge of the previous year and we are just 0-0 teams that are newly created. So less people show up and you need to win as fast as possible to get some decent attendance coming in for future games.

Yeah it's frustrating to say the least. I think a big part of my attendance woes is because I came in 5th place, which I'm guessing the fans consider a losing season, regardless of record. Promoting from IV and having a winning record means nothing, coming in 5th place means everything, or so it seems. At this rate I will have to sell off players in a few weeks as i'll be operating in the red.

When I started playing this game back in season 6 (different team) there were over 50000 human run teams, Now there are only 13000, or roughly 25% of it's peak, and I'm starting to understand why. If I have to start selling off, chances are I'll just let things go bot. It's a fun game that I enjoy, but this game has always had a fatal flaw: It's top heavy. In other words it's designed to protect the teams at the top, and the futility that new managers face coming in at the bottom causes managers to bail. The sides of the pyramid are too steep, if that makes sense. If you have to day trade or use sling-shot tactics just to get ahead, the game is inherently flawed, hence the rapidly dwindling base of players.
