I think being always in Big8 is unfair especially due to the fact that Great8 always hosts the games during the All-Star Week.

Afaik this isn't true. At worst, it might possibly be random. But never only held in Great 8. I've seen it being held in both conferences, and it has always been like that since season 3 (didn't witness any before that so I can't say so). If you really experienced this, then it's just bad luck I guess.

Shuffling teams between conference is whole other thing. Probably a bit more difficult to do too. It would mean less rivalry (and calculating rivals every seasons). If totally random, it wouldn't solve the risk of having uneven quality between conferences. Even if not random, uneven conference could still happen depending on early season choices by managers. And usually, it does sort it out itself after some seasons.
.

Mixing the conferences is really necessary.
Look at ACBB (Spain div I)
It is several seasons that left/blue conference is definitely stronger than red one.
And same happen in main of leagues and divisions

I suggest that the positions 2,4,6 of every conf change the next season and system trĂes to collocate promoted and demoted teams trying to compensate the level of the conferences.
There is no guarantee finally the conferences will be even, but it is a way to try to get it

Can you better express the concept?

So it doesn't matter that the best teams get to play the series finals, but does it matter that the best teams get to play the conference finals?

Also this can be a correct way in a world without relegations .. but teams with a record of 10/12 to be relegated because the eighth of their conference and to see teams with 11/11 go to the playoffs on the other side does not make me think at all that is better .. (and I've only given one example that I know, it won't even be the most striking ..)

For certain series it is almost obvious that the best team will replace those who rise to the higher series .. with the exception of BOTs who drop, or repechage, it will always be like this ..

I let you take a look at french D1.
At the moment the blue conference has won 10 consecutive titles, still in progress, and we often get the best promoted teams... Fresh example last season with the two undefeated D2 teams joining us. And I know this problem also occurs in other divisions.
I don't know if the promoting system is totally random and if this is just bad luck, but yes I understand that people want to change things.
Telling that time will balance the conferences' competitiveness isn't true, or at least not always in a decent time span.
