Still. There are already plenty of farm teams... I'm sure you know in which countries as well... So far that practice seems to work in BB just as welll as in HT

I say that farm teams should be banned. Period.

In BB it's just impossible to keep a 250k player for several seasons in the D3 or lower, so farm teams here are less effective than in HT.

NT players in HT are fed by a cash vault -- no-one expects to make enough money on a weekly basis to pay their salaries.

This is quite possible in BB as well -- 7.5 million will feed a 250k player for 3 seasons, and a lot of teams can raise this type of cash by selling out their current rosters.

Still real farm teams like in HT just can't exist in BB. In HT it doens't matter if your player plays 180 minutes or 90 minutes, in BB you can't let a 250k player play 2 full games a week in a farm team. There are no decent backups so that player will make 90+ minutes per week, which leads to a massive GS drop. The Farm team needs to log in a lot more often than in HT, and even when he logs in it's tough to keep the farmed player at a decent shape.

But ok I indeed kind of underestimated the financial part.

even in HT you don't play your farmed player twice a week, becuase of the injuries.

Farming means to make compromisses on succews, for the optional development of a player. In my case that means that my 130k center plays often as a guard and just one game as a back up in the biog guy position.

Being a farm team doesn't mean you don't log in at all, it means your team exists to fund the salary of one or more NT players.

Many farm teams in HT have owners that lost the fun in the game, and log in once per 6 weeks or something to not go bot, or they log in in between when the NT Manager request a different training regime. There may be some farm teams that regularly login because of federations etc, but most of them (afaik) just got huge funds and stopped playing for a few seasons.

@CrazyEye. In HT there's only 1 std game per week, in BB it's two. You need to arrange a friendly in HT to get 2 games a week (if you don't login you won't arrange one), so the injury's argument isn't valid there imo (apart from one or two cupgames early in the season)

you could easily look forward to get the line up in advance also in BB, instead of the cup games ;)

Just use an old lineup with him as backup and another where he is starting, in the end you will end up in good minutes nearly all the time and not in 80+.

But you have to log in more, to switch training here ;)

When you have a guy with 250K on your team and start him as backup to a 5K player, the 250K player will still get far and away the most playing time.

@CrazyEye: I never said I hated you, it's just that your ideas are often the exact opposite of mine. ;P

i won't be sure about it, the players who are near those sums aren't necessary good guards.

And my 30k ex. C/PF could hold my 135k center pretty good out of the field - so maybe you don't need a 5k guy - but a 50/60k will do it for a center.

He's in favour of banning farm teams. I had a look at your team and you are not a farm team, even if you think you are. If having an NT player made you a farm team, even I would be in trouble.

There is a difference between owning an expensive NT player and being a farm team.
