This week I trained stamina and two players that didn't play lost one stamina level.

Does that mean that stamina training is less effective than a week without playing? i.e. do ypu need more than a week training for every week a player is injured?

What about play offs? Do teams not playing them get punished with a fall on stamina?

The NEWS says:
"You might see a large number of stamina drops for players who were in proficient (9) stamina, but these drops were only very tiny; a check of the database shows that 21% of players on human-controlled teams who dropped a level in stamina in fact only dropped 0.02 of a level or under."

We can only count how many red arrows there is, so your arguments seem unfair as long as we cannot see if your numbers are to be verified.
This new rule for stamina drop, will be a great plus for BOT-teams. Is that a wish?

that's not the point anyway. if one's trained stamina and got anyway a drop it means that that player had, let's say, +0.5 for the training and, at least, -0.51 for not having played enough. and this is kinda annoying.

As ringo wrote, I was training stamina. A skill down means that the stamina training wasn't as effective as missing playing for one week. There's no way around it.

What about the playoffs?

There will be one game or if you are unlucky only one scrimmage? So you need to train stamina then? And the 24 minute rule? Who does this work then?

It seem like there will be loadsa people working on stamina then...

yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the "present."

I think the developers mixed up a bit in that field.

There are two separate fields one is stamina and one if game shape, most of the times when a player is injured he can still keep his stamina, for example if a player break a finger he can't play, nevertheless he can run and keep his stamina, what he should loose is game shape.

Also as the rules says, there is nothing between stamina and minutes played, to run around the building players do not need game time.

So, stamina should drop during time if you don't train it, but has nothing to do with game time.

100% agree

developers dont want managers to just train once before the season. They want the managers to train stamina regularly.
I dont go 100% with the developers (cause in real liefe 90% of the stamina training IS done during the offseason) but at least I understand their reason. However your solution is much better!!!
stamina should drop during time if you don't train it, but has nothing to do with game time.

this way it is much more realistic.
Secondly it is very annoying to train stamina for the whole team, only because one single player needs to, cause he had an 4 week injury .

This is close to the conclusion that I have come to as well, and it's a mystery that it's not obvious for the BB-team?

Completely agree, particularly with the part in bold.

One other thing that really bothers me about this is that the stamina drops may effect BuzzerBeater's ability to retain new managers. As a newbie, you are given a team with 18 players, normally on the day of the training update, and none of your players has played a single minute. The training update takes place, and all of your players drop in stamina. During the next 7 days, you have to figure out which players are worth keeping, and try to give each of them 24 or more minutes (I've been playing for better than a season, and I still can't figure out how to get 13 players 24 min/week). Those that don't get 24 minutes will suffer another stamina drop. Reading the rules tells you there is no relation between stamina and game time. You train stamina the next week, and you still have players dropping in stamina. Will you keep playing? How many n00bs do you think will stick with it?

If the developers really think that there needs to be some challenge to maintaining stamina, there are better solutions. First, if stamina must drop as they have currently implemented, there should be a % share of each week's training devoted to stamina, in addition to whatever training is the focus the team. Second, if that option is not available, then CharlesThe2nd has the bast solution:
So, stamina should drop during time if you don't train it, but has nothing to do with game time.

And this should be a very gradual drop, which could be tweaked to be less gradual for a player who doesn't play much at all for weeks on end.

I hope they will give us an answer, or at least their thoughts on the subject.
