I am an educational consultant that works with teachers to try to help encourage alternative ways to help teach mathematics. I have played most every basketball simulation out there (among other sims too) looking for resources I can use to help teachers learn how game play and game study can help students learn mathematics. BB is one of the best basketball games out there and I think I may start up a blog dedicated completely to mini lessons and activities teachers might do in their classes or for home work. Do I have permission to introduce BB to the education community as a tool students may use to help them learn math? Obviously the exposure to BB will be positive, but I worry about the "fly by night" students and teachers that may make a team only to drop the game shortly after the novelty wears out. Maybe it is possible to make an "Education" league at some point specifically for those seeking the educational focus (meaning they may not stick with a team long). I do expect that a nice percentage of young basketball players will find value in the wonderful simulation and activities in this community as well. I welcome any thoughts or concerns about me blogging to the educational community about how BB could be used in the instruction of mathematics.

A lot may quit after a short while, but the ones who want to continue should be able to do so in regular BB. I don't see the big problem with using BB as it is for this purpose. Some teams drop out after a short while anyway. I imagine you need to have a big userbase to have a somewhat stable market, so regular BB may be better even for educational purposes.

I want to bring back these efforts to get BB publicized. The more people we get on here the more money BB has to continually make improvements. Is anyone still interested in doing this?

Well to be honest, I could care less about supporter. I mean tht in a good way. I will continue to pay for supporter and would rather do that than get free supporter because it helps BB.

Ill see what I can do about getting BB publicized. I know some people who write for newspapers as well as magazines. Also know some beat writers for professional teams. So I'll see what I can do with that.

As for the past, what has BB done themselves for advertising and getting publicized? I would be really interested in working with the marketing side of BB.

Just as a note, I just graduate from Purdue University in financial advising but had lots of marketing classes, so I know a thing or two about marketing and would like to help in any way.
