well

quitting your job can be a positive, gives you a lot more free time

and the option to set your life in a new direction

dropping your girlfriend can be good too, if she knows you well and really cares she wont let you drop her and will stay around

if not dont worry there are a ton of others out there - you will probably end up with someone nicer and hotter

as for the team -bad decision i think

even if it seems like it all sucks and i dont know how much debt you have you still are in d3, you still have your arena, and last time i checked you had an amazing trainee one of the top in australia

ok, so you just chucked a million away, not good, but there is a rescue plan

list everyone tonight for $1 except your 3 trainees and a favourite player or two - i would only keep kris, ludovic and giocondo but you may have to sell one of two of them as well depending on how bad the debt is

everyone that doesnt sell - sack

with luck you can get back to positives

i hope you have still got a trainer, sack your doctor and pr dude

if you cant afford a trainer still do stam or ft training

starting again in div 4 will be really bad and while i want you to leave them for me there are several good prospects in our draft - but just one insane one and iwen only has 2nd pick so not him...

you may also have to set scouting to 0 - but that hurts a lot

let me know how in debt you are

you can be div 3 with a big arena, a great trainee or two and some awesome draft picks

or you can be div 4 with nothing

PS: one of my workmates is badly bipolar, dont know if she is better or worse than you, but she is an ace worker (and really hot) 90% of the time, and we just accept that 10% of the time she will be morose and useless - she is well worth it

I've got MPD (multiple personality disorder)... so I'm not that far away from you dingleton.

You don't have to give up just yet, I think goldfish is right, better to be in div3 with some arena and some trainees then in div4 with nothing at all...

if u are sick of your team, change the team name, if u are sick of the players, change them all... if u are sick of the game.. then just log on to BB less often =P

Yeah after analyzing some teams, I think meteors or steve crocs will win...

but my money is still on a DT versus meteors grand finals.

Steve Crocs have Rob McNamara, who is on the Aussie National Team is is one of, if not the best, small man in the league. He then backs it u with some strong big men in particular. He is hard to beat, and hard to know where to target him. Do you take on his strength, playing an outside game, knowing the Rob McNamara will have a very good outside defence, or do you try to hit his centres?

Then defending do you try to make Rob McNamara win the game on his own by shutting down the centres, or do you attack the passing lanes and try for turn overs, stopping Rob McNamara from feeding the big men?

But not my problem this week, my problem is Battlers.

My vote for MVP is Liang Huaizheng, te centre for Flames. With his numbers will be hard to beat.

Looks like I might have a chance against Aussie Battlers with Cathy on average game shape, while Bulman is respectable. With 2 of the regular starters slightly out of form I may have a chance. All the other possible game players for Battlers are on Strong game shape, so lets hope Bulman and Cathy have a bad game, not being able to get into the flow :-)

last week we both played TIE with what appeared to be the starting lineups, and I won pretty confortably.

Last time we met Battlers beat me. I have to count on the fact that Carrington did not play that game, and Llanes only played 8 minutes as I was in the middle of a cup run. I played TIE, but Battlers tried harder than me, how much harder I do not know.

I am not that confident playing Battlers, in our last 5 match-ups he has won 4 of them. Not a good record going into a playoff game.

Yes, thanks for pointing this out Holtz...it is my problem in a few hours!

It is very hard to know were to target Crocs as they have 6 players (from memory) who score over 12 ppg or thereabouts.

When Crocs only had Fromista, I fancied my chances, as I have good big men. BUT since the new purchase his 2 bigs will nullify my two gun bigs, and then I can't bridge the mcnamara gap with only a 35K PG and no back up.

The only thing that may help me is playing CT - I did this last season with crocs and only lost by 7 with my top scorer injured. He will want to preserve himself for you, so that could be a BIG risk (Hi Crocs!). mind you, i have 2 guys in only respectable game shape which doesn't help...i refuse to train game shape unless I am a massive show...maybe in 2 seasons...

good luck all!!

Believe it or not I have never trained game shape, haven't ever put a whole lot of thought towards it in my planning for the season playoffs, I just try to control the game time my players get. Everyone has been going on about gameshape this season, what is the top gameshape? What should I be aiming at for my players. All are currently strong game shape expect 3 who are proficient game shape (I think it is proficient).

Is this low, OK or too high?

I am serious by the way, never thought much about game shape.

Good luck all, and Greeno I hope you know Steve Crocs off playing CT, no hidden agendas I promise :P
