With the way the league is looking, I may use this second life as a sign that this is the season I should actually prioritize advancing in the cup

my fate is just the opposite. after this week, i join Anchorage on the sidelines, watching the Cup action from afar . . .

it's amazing how one's season can almost instantaneously drive right off into the ditch.

Oh the cup is one cruel mistress., the 'morning headlines' say it all....

GLASS SEALING, Cacti subdue game Generals club 137-132 in double OT

BRINGING ON THE HEARTBREAK, Cacti take advantage of generous Generals collapse to complete third round cup comeback

ANOTHER CUP CALAMITY, Generals upset bid spoiled by Glass and Rojas combination as late collapse seals their fate again.

I was actually on the road coming back from visiting my son so I did not get to see this contest unfold, but from what Dunkface passed along it did sound like a five star affair.

So we both think we are going to lose this game?

On a side note....Announcement to the League:

On 4/1/2016 Hassan Donnelly and myself will hold a joint podcast teaching about the benefits of positive thinking. We hope you all get a lot out of it!

But you probably won't.

Well on that note, I am taking this merry band of hackers I have assembled all the way to the round of 32!

You are learning, but have a long ways to go:

Losing is not just some random result, it is the judgment of the universe artfully attained. Not just anyone can lose -- you have a great deal of trouble achieving it, for example -- it is an approach, a mindset that must be cultivated over a long period.

To wit: in our game, we will both lose, but one of us will be less of a loser than the other.

That is the zen of losing.

As it is, "fans" already come to Cacti games wearing Desert Storm jerseys. I feel like the pre-CP3 Clippers!

In BB, we've had iconic teams such as BC Törööö and KDB go bot; could you imagine, in the NBA, storied franchises like the Lakers, Celtics or Bulls no longer existing. That would be a tough pill to sallow for fans of these proud franchises. They'd go from winning a lot, to losing it all.

Seattle Super Sonics left a thriving fan base.... Not exactly the same as the point you are making, but close.

My point is, the Arizona Dessert Storm have accumulated an impressive amount of silver trophies. Those could come handy in case of a vampire uprising.

I was out to dinner with my great aunt who turned 93 tonight and in the middle of dinner she just turned to me and started talking about how much she loves tom selleck. Single too! Boy do I have the text-based internet basketball simulator manager to set her up with.
