i was getting all ready to counter with some analysis that it was unlikely that you or TnT would be winning the Cup this year, because you would have to focus at some imminent point on the league, HCA, and preparing for the playoffs . . .

and then i checked the standings. damn.

both of you guys are really kinda sitting pretty -- you with a two-game lead and a huge PD, TnT with a three-game lead, with seven to go. so both have, barring some Pacer locker room meltdown or one of you starts spouting racist nonsense and have to sell your team, the great likelihood of having HCA until the championship round.

i am guessing that the Cup and League champion will come from either BM, Beware of Dogs, or Delta. but, as one who is, along with the Traptors, Chargers, IYF, and Chargers, plotting my chances in the the Cup and possibly playoffs (including even getting there), right now, i think the best chance of pulling an upset win is in the Cup.

Rocket Science' experiment of a six-man roster of first-rate players two games a week is so unusual i don't know how to evaluate his chances. if TnT stumbled badly and ended up with only 17 wins, rocket_science would still have to basically run the table to get HCA. with money on the line, it will be interesting to see all this play out.

That sounds like it would be the case, but it is not. Every NBBA team who advances has those odds. Someone in D2 or D3 would have a higher chance of drawing a NBBA team.

Maybe you should have been friends with officials instead.

That does suck, however UK did just win, he might lose the #2 pick in the draft to 'The King and I'.

It's possible you could still pick up a free win as teams tank for a Cup game. Maybe?

Yeah, they lost because the other team tanked it. :) I was originally thinking when I was bounced from the cup early that I would pick up at least one extra win as teams spread minutes out. But now, with teams playing UK, they can run up the score and rest starters knowing mins will be spared or simply not playing everybody because UK only has 4 real players. Either way, every teams gets the TIE right before playing me and I don't get that certain TIE with great minute management until the final day of the season.... I strongly endorse teams tanking against me!

This season has been pretty rough for me. Something nobody knows is how my old timers had some crazy skill drops. For example, Xinbin, my 180k per week guard I sold earlier had 3 OD, 2 handling, and 1-2 JR drops the first 2 wks after salaries were set! Including other players I had more total skill drops in the first 3 wks of the season than my previous 2 seasons combined - and I usually roll with the retirement crowd.

To top things of, Berthod my starting SF, had a 3 wk injury on 5/10 and is still out. I thought injuries were like clockwork, when did the variability happen with that?

Ouch. I'm assuming career extension trainer. I didn't even think that was possible to have 6-7 drops in 2 weeks.

Injuries blow. Unfortunately they've never been like clockwork, it's always 7 x Weeks Injured + random number of days 0 through 6.

So a 3 week injury can be anywhere between 21 and 27 days. I hate injuries. It always sucks when your highest salaried player gets a 4 or 5 weeker. You basically have to get rid of him. And suddenly you're out a great player + the money you couldn't get since he was hurt.

Seems like the 'King and I' is gearing up for a relegation series run.

Wow, so all 4 teams left are no worse than a 3 seed in their conference. Cup vs Playoff positioning is going to be interesting.
