2.9mil and only going for the this seasons ABBL? Selling yourself short there =P

I clearly do not have 2.9mil but if I did, I would be going for Cup, league and B3. All in one season.

I do have between 1 to 2mil for Palmeri though, so if you do relist him (which I think what would happen) for $1, then you might be able to see how much money I have to splash around.

Like I said, if you were serious about selling Palmeri or Brethes then you wouldve listed them for $1. But you didnt =P

Im financial enough to win this seasons ABBL championship and possibly next without having a major restructure of my team.

As I said in my previous post the idea of restructuring my team was to have a real crack at this seasons B3 which will involve running at a few hundred K a week loss for several weeks

Mind you if you had of started some of your better players on Wednesday night, you would have been on top of the B3 table.

Good defensively balanced Aussie SFs who are only 25yo are IMO worth more than 2 mill

edit

Palmeri is a year younger than Ryder and despite my extra efforts with Ryder, he is not that far behind if at all when the difference in age is considered

Palmeris true worth is not that he can match it in the ABBL as a starting SF, but instead is the fact that he could continue to do so for another 8 seasons and potentially save his owner in excess of 40 K per week for that period of time for a player of comparative performance.

I.e. 40k x 13 x 8 is about 4.16mill he could save a potential purchaser over a player of comparative performance.

A good SF IMO is almost a ticket for promotion from div 2 and the associated million in promotion money. (Hell Pedrosa earned me a couple of mill in promotion money)

Promotion money is very handy for teams who want to undertake a long time build which can involve bouncing between divisions

As mentioned he is a whisker away from having 15 in ID and I suspect is quite close to a couple of other pops.

Good teams are not built around 200K players but instead salary efficient players who enable you to afford other key players

Just added Quincy Riviera and a few other players to my teams Hall Of Fame

Riviera has now played exactly 100 games for my team and at his most expensive was around the 108 K

His average rating for those 100 games which have all been in Div 1 or II is 16.9.

Despite being 34 years old and having dropped quite a few skills he is currently the equal 7th highest rating player in the ABBL for season 28 with an average rating of 17.1, which is a higher rating than what Brent Degas has had for this season.

Iwen is a genius

Grats on the new franchise player of the seagulls. A few seasons of one on one training and he should be aiight.

And grats to Sid on the sale. It was an awesome investment and now its time to enjoy the fruits of his labour. Perhaps a few back to back ABBL championships and the prestigious B3 is within his grasp now for then ever.

Adding the Cup title to that equation is not out of the question either.

B3 would be nice but it is probably just a crazy dream

Fish has held back his best players for the cup game against me

seeing that 500k is min, it's not considerably less than his TPE. However, he will sell if people believe that he is worth it.

Brethes still part of your plans or not?

Planning on buying up any time soon or not? If so how soon?

What are your true intentions going forward?

Thought Id better move the conversation over here after Koops going "all GM" on us in that other thread

I ended up buying a 77K a week 28 yo shooting guard after missing out on the player who I was initially after, who was the reason I put Lie up on the market. (Lie was going to go on the market the night he did, even before he copped the one week injury)

I paid 743K for this bloke and wouldnt have brought him except that Lie was injured and was therefore unable to play tomorrow night, hence I needed another player to balance the minutes.

Im unsure whether I will keep him long term or not but Im confident that I can turn him over for a small profit in 3 or so weeks if I wanted to.

This bloke has been flogged with the amounts of minutes he has played and has been played out of position as a PG rather than a SG and despite all this he has remained uninjured and performed respectably.

He wont win me a B3 title but I reckon he is okay, affordable and I shouldnt lose money on him.

Omen that tipped me into buying him was that he becomes my 3rd French guard
