Game 7 Recaps

Terrors at Crazy's

Fast and Furious boyz......202 total shots in this game with 58 3 pointers. What a show they put on for the Crazy's fans. Navales played well again and paced his team with 27 points. It was not enough though as the Crazy's guards sunk 12 3 pointers with Barry netting 25 points. On paper the game looked much closer then the final score. The only noticeable difference was better passing by the Crazy's and fewer turnovers. In the end that spelled a win for the home team. Crazy's 115 Terrors 92

Phantoms at Flames

Nothing to report here Flames are more like a flicker. Phantoms 130 Flames 28

VD's at Champaign

it is hard to believe that Champaign put anything into this game when only scoring 50 but maybe more surprising was VD's only winning by 14. Fans paid for a snoozer at this one and when both teams combined went 3 for 40 from 3 ball land the fans just gave up. The bright spot was the mascot dunk off at half time.......................after that the fans went home. VD's 64 Champaign 50

Dutchmen at Tachenko

Little brother came out to pester yet another team and Gagis and Hutson gave them the proverbial wedgiie draining 47 between them. Mayagoita played tough again sinking 21 points and taking back his pride as the teams leading rebounder with 13 boards. Turnovers and poor shooting were too much for Tachenko to overcome tonight. Dutchmen 107 Tachenko 90

Allstars at Challengers

A modest game for both teams meant a fairly close game............till the 3rd quarter. Challengers came out of the half with a purpose and the Allstars came out looking gassed. At least that was the claim of Lemos when he mentioned that Skalec had some rotten smells under the boards. Perhaps that is why Skalec has played so well lately. This one ulitmately came down to better shooting from 3 land. Challengers shot better and won in the end. Gas aside nobody stood out but Challengers had enough........points and apparenty gas. Challengers 89 Allstars 79

Prov at Crank Dat

66 three pointers is one exciting game to watch. Unfortunatley for Prov City the Soulja Boys hit 17 of them. If you wunde it's Junde. He drained 41 and Pettito helped out with 28. There is no doubt that this will be one of the most formidable backcourts in III.4. Carmona had 26 himself but had nothing kind to say about the officiating. In the press conference following he said...............well BB managers have mandated a rated G review so let me translate the refs stunk tonight!!!! Soon after the league mentioned that he would be facing a stiff fine. Carmona said whatever and went to look for a stiff drink. Crank dat 116 Prov City 97

Phakeouts at Bobcats

Closest game of the night here. Both offenses looked to go inside early and often and usually that means Peszeni has about 30 but tonight he had a more modest 18 and allowed Burgess to bear the load draining 35 points. Hanks and Gurklis for the Phakeouts fought hard but could not overcome a poor defensive 4th quarter that saw the Bobcats put up 39. Poor free throw shooting by the Bobcats made this one real close. Cats 98 Phakeouts 92

Blasters at NP

Well the goal for both teams in this one was to outshoot the other guards. NP shot well from long distance but it was not enough as the Blasters put seven players into double digits. 33 personal fouls did not help NP any and the game took forever as Blasters shot 37 total foul shots. The Blasters outrebounded and outplayed NP tonight. Blasters 118 NP 93

MVP

Junde the Wunde (wonder) with 41 points

thanks for the recap again!

good thing i chose to go base offense tonight to avoid the 2-3 zone defense... this style doesnt really fit me maybe...
a TIE going againist CT still manage to get a marginal win...but i agree that FT is horrible. lucky win tonight.

At the same time, i think the arrival of Panos also ease the load for Mate Double thus Mate Double is not as beasting as before, but i think thats a good thing.

After leading for three quarters, blowing the lead, getting it back and blowing it again by missing 3 out of 4 free throws in the waning seconds, the Dutchmen get consecutive Hutson threes in OT to pull off a big time TV road win over the Blasters. Took every last inch of the CT to get it done.

On a sidenote, the guy had 35 points, 1 rebound and 2 assists. Just pure scoring. Would a more well-rounded player be nice? Maybe, but I like having him do nothing but score. My other guards who normally fare pretty well were mostly shut down by Blasters and his starting big men combined for over 40 rebounds. Without my high enthusiasm and CT, I likely would have been smoked tonight.

cogra soulja boy.

another lost for me tonight which is there to grab...looking to get out of the cup sooner or later...
recent improvement of my stadium will allow me to come back strong after the all-star break.

until then, my team will still be on a losing streak possibly!
haha

keep up the good work!

Game 8 recaps (Intra league play)

Tachenko at NP

Tale of two tactics here. Tachenko fed the big boys underneath while NP had Beckman firing away. Anytime you have a player drain 41 you usually expect a victory. This game Beckman became the BB Carmello Anthony. Tons of points but takes an L. The Tachenko big men combined for 77 points and it was too much downlow for the NP bigs.
Tachenko 112 NP 100

Dutchmen at Blasters

Had an OT here baby! Both teams came out firing away. Blasters went into the 4th quarter down but a huge quarter saw them tie it up and force an OT at home. Unfortunatley OT was not as friendly and the Dutchmen came out ready to steal one away. Hutson drained 35 on the Blasters D and helped put away the Blasters in OT. Neither shot real well from the charity stripe but Blasters still looked great on paper. Unfortunately paper is........ well not what brings in the W. Guards too much for the Blasters in this one. Dutchmen 99 Blasters 90

VD's at Philly

One tried low and one drained em from high. VD's came out and put a full team effort into it. Not all the starters were there for Philly and it showed with a lackluster performance. No outstanding stats to speak of here unless you think that 22 for 80 from the field and 0 for 14 from 3 land is significant. Oh yeah it is.................you lose when you have those stats. VD's 94 Phakeouts 49

Champaign at Bobcats

Champaign put some effort into this one and it showed. Grecijonas who has been somewhat invisible thus far drained 26 for Champaign. Bobcats had Bustelo firing against Grecijonas and he had 24 but to no avail. 3 more three pointers for Champaign was the difference in this game. Champaign got back to its winning ways tonight. Champaign 81 Bobcats 72

Phantoms at Investors

The Phantoms defense held the Investors to 22% from the field. I would be more impressed if the Investors had dressed any of their normal starters. It appears most people plan on rolling over for the Phantoms this season. Don't know if anyone can be blamed the Phantoms have a stellar team. Phantoms 115 Investors 53

Flames at Crank dat

According to the stat sheet it stated that both teams played at the same effort level.................huh there was another team playing tonight. Crank dat 128 Flames 53

Terrors at Allstars

You don't get much closer then this finish. Terrors put alot into this one to try and steal one away but Nalesso willed his team to victory netting 28. This was a close one that either team could have pulled out with better foul shooting. Navales struggled a bit tonight and it may have cost his team a W. Allstars 96 Terrors 95

Crazy's at Challengers

The first quarter belonged to the Crazy's and the fourth to the Challengers. Putting in the second and third string in the fourth proved to be a costly mistake for the Crazy's. Up 21 going into the 4th the Crazy's looked to cruise to a W but the Challengers went on a 21 to 5 run which made the starters take off their warm ups again. This game saw great play from Skalec again with his 26 but it was little known Calles that turned heads with 31. Luckily for the Crazy fans Zabalbaru and Barry were both on tonight accounting for 71 of Clevelands points. Crazy's 114 Challengers 102

MVP

Beckman 41 points

Got a give a shout out to Zabalbaru 38 pts in 38 minutes aint shabby

Intra league play record

Big 8 6 wins
Great 8 2 wins
