I sense a bit of anti-Albatross bias Sid :/

Nope but a little bit of pro tantrums,

I do have a bit of guilt denying him a run in the ABBL a few seasons ago and Im also a bit of a fan of a fellow exponent of the outside offenses

Maybe it's just a bit of jealousy over me having the best 23yo in Australia (y)

Congrats if you do, but he'd have to be pretty good to be better than Williams and TSPs is not a definitive way of determining who is better.

Having said that I think Williams had the most TRPs for a 23 yo old anyhow

interesting analysis.

Id imagine that Pierce would be quite an okay player who might sell for between 1 to 1.5 million.

Williams on the other hand if put on the market would sell for some where between 3 and 5 mill.

Pierce costs you 76K a week where as Williams costs me 25K a week. (which this season will mean that you will spend about 700K more keeping Pierce on your roster than what it costs me to have Williams on my roster)

Pierce has played zero games for Australias U21s where as Williams played 14

Pierce only seems to be rating 12s or 13s in his actual position which is point guard.

Williams this season has rated 12 at Centre 13.5 at PG and rates between 14 and 17 at SF.

Yawn I could go on, but I dont want to waste my time, so just believe what you want to believe.

A closer comparison would be comparing my neglected 3rd trainee Palmeri and your guy Pierce.

Palmeri would sell for more, ranks more & costs less etc etc etc.

Perhaps we could compare Pierce to my 34 yo Aitkins who has lost many of his skills

Pierce would definitely sell for more than Aitkins even though he has a higher salary, scores less and ranks a lot less.

Finding someone on my team who your Pierce is better than, is a harder task than I thought

Everyone knows you love talking about your trainees, it's never a waste of time for you.
Pierce > your wife's meatloaf > Riviera

Well Riviera who has a weekly salary of only 108K does cost me more per week than what Pierce does cost you and Pierce would defiinately sell for a lot more than what my 32 yo old Riviera would.

As said before your "trainee" Pierce only ranks 12s and 13s.

Riviera has been scoring mostly 17s and 18s this season but has a season high of 20.5 (thats ranking not points)

Fairness to Pierce I see he did score 33 points at SF in one game even if this was against Bell Parks $3,600 scrub.

Riviera has topped 40 points 4 times this season and has more than held his own against some of the best guards in the world including Degas etc and has a higher OD rating than most of the current Australian National Team Guards

Pierce is not ranked in Australias top 200 players where as Riviera is currently ranked 18 in Australia (should be a lot higher)

Riviera will be starting to lose his skills next season so perhaps in 3 or 4 seasons time, Pierce might be close to being comparible to Riviera.

I liked these

Pierce > a stick > Williams

Not so much the content, just the format of the insult. was good, made me laugh.

Hey BTW, i might buy Donnelly off ya if he doesn't sell in the next few days. I need another PF as my guy is 32 about to turn 33, so im going to start moving him off the starting lineup next season, need something to replace him with.

You got him a bit expensive at the moment, (IMO) - ive only really just started looking though, so ill get back to you again in a few day's time if he hasnt sold by then.

Im happy for him not to sell this week as he gives me extra depth for the finals.

Donnellys value is his salary V output and also the flexibility as he can hit 3s when played at PF and can also either hold down SF or switch defense to SF.

Great if your considering an outside offense to occassionally throw off the GDP from an opponent

Only reason he is for sale is that Im hoping to be in the ABBL next season and plan to 2 position train so figured I might get a couple of other younger players to play PF and SF with my 3 current trainees
