I read the post. He mentions some past comparison to Starbucks that was completely irrelevant to every single post I've made in this topic.

It had nothing to do with anything. Therefore I treated it as such.

Oh....my bad.

Just give me another year, I'll make sure, in the midst of managing my finances... in the midst of budgeting for things like insurance, food, etc, I'll make sure to put aside 3 dollars or so for a year so I can have 40 dollars to spend on Buzzerbeater.

Ugh. Did you not read that I wrote this:

We all understand it's a flat rate.

I was just explaining the point Yuck was making. It's clear that even if you understand it, you don't agree with the logic, so fine.

However, I disagree with your examples of retail products like coats or pants because those items ARE investments because they are designed to last a good amount of time. Yuck used the Starbucks example because you pay 5 bucks for something you're done with in 15 minutes. I'm guessing you wouldn't buy a coat for $150 if it was going to last 15 minutes. Personally I wouldn't even it they lasted one year. Your planning on it lasting a while, but you never really know for sure. But I do know that I'd be a lot more likely to spend $150 on a coat if it will last 3-5 years, than if it will last 1 year. And I'd be more likely to do that because the VALUE is higher. More bang for the buck.

With Buzzerbeater, you KNOW for a fact it will last one year. Thus, it is more reasonable to divide by those 12 months to see what the value is a month. And the point that Yuck is making, that I happen to agree with, is that the VALUE for one year is good.

Now, back to the original topic. TRAINING AHHHHHH!

If for some reason, you still are having trouble following. This fellow here talks about Buzzerbeater being a durable good and some comparison about Starbucks that I made no mention of or did not refute in any way.

My post was exactly.

It's much more plausible that I just pay 40 dollars and be done with it....and at the end of the day, that 40 dollars will be just like any 40 dollars I spent on ANY other durable good.

Fortunately for me, I have enough common sense to realize that things aren't best looked at from the incredibly inane scope of costs per month.

Hey! I bought a winter coat, it was 150 dollars but that's only like 12.50 per month!

Hey I bought a pair of sneakers for 60 dollars. It's only 5 dollars per month! That's nothing.

Where the HELL did I say or refute anything about BB being good value relative to Starbucks?

Oh that's right I didn't. In fact, I found both analogies to be inane and meaningless.

In fact, it's almost as if he didn't even read the part that he mysteriously left out of quoting. I clearly stated that coats, etc, are durable goods...yet he finds it necessary to go on some tangent about how long coats last you. Seriously WTF?

What I DID say, was that you'd have to have borderline SPED IQ and ass-backwards, TV commercial salesman type of logic to quantify flat rates on a per month basis just because it is a durable good. No one does budgeting that way. It's ****ing stupid. I'm not paying 3.50 per month. I'm paying 40 dollars. Period. That's $36.5 that I don't have immediately following the transaction.....there's a DIFFERENCE FOR GOD'S SAKE.

And to be honest, it appears I'm not the one that needs to be reading posts here.

I don't know why in hell you're still replying to me. I'm not even involved in the argument. I'm talking about training being late and how fun it is.

the training for this week that I've updated isn't showing up. The box is blank. Is this normal?

Also, none of my past week's player's skills went up any. Is this a bug or just bad luck?

You obviously did since you clicked the reply button...three times now?

Enough of your pointless grunting.

You aren't going to come off as a smartass no matter how hard you try.

I had this old Starbucks cup that I spent something like 12 months--give or take--throwing nickels into. Some of the nickels would bounce off the rim of the cup, but after a while I started to get pretty good at it and filled the damn thing, and before you knew it, there were nickels all over the desk and on the floor, so many nickels that I couldn't use my mousepad anymore and they would get into my shoes, and I thought about turning the nickels into a pair of sneakers or a winter coat, but I couldn't stop pitching them into the cup, and I figured I needed a new cup anyway and Starbucks sucks because it's like 20% coffee and 80% sugar, but anyway, and this is important, someone on the internet was wrong about something, I forget what, and it was imperative that I could somehow coerce this person into an argument with me so that I could prove not only how right I was--that I knew already, and I'm sure he knew, even though the argument was likely just about semantics and how different people look at things in different ways, and neither of them are wrong per se, just that some people are better at debating--what I really wanted was for him to marvel at how I was not only making different points, but better ones, and that it all mattered for whatever reason, and I had the nickels to prove it and I was willing to take a photograph of the nickels that I would only Photoshop in very minor ways, like making the nickels shinier, and then I bought supporter for an online text-based basketball game and got into another argument about how this thing called a training update was late, and this person who was so obviously wrong kept replying to me, so I replied to him back, and he tried to convince me he was a smartass but I knew better, and I still had the nickels, so there.
