I have not seen any data indicating so, other than my own experiences. In Div 3 I needed a level four Dr to go injury free for the majority of the season, in Div II I carry a level 5 doctor, yes even for my crappy team right now to eliminate the injury factor. My one season in Div I I carried a level 6 doctor. The seasons I spent with a lower leveled Dr per league saw a much hgher rate of injuries. I probally give the game to much credit to assume that as you reach higher levels of play, that without a higher investment in your coaching staff that you see an adverse affect on your players.

I am fairly convinced it is completely random luck. The game simulates. The random generator dictates player D receives injury. At that point the level of doctor determines the length of injury. The higher the level of doctor the more likely it is a one game injury. Completely my opinion but I have never run with more than a level three doctor. I can't say my team has ever been injury plagued either. I spend more on PR guys than docs.

The other rumor that was out there when I was playing before was the hidden "physicality" attribute of a player. Some players just fouled more than they should...and these guys also cause more injuries.

I had a special backcourt of thugs that I'd play against the New York Jests to try to injure guys.
Or if you were still in the cup and you had to throw a game during a week...throw the thugs out there to cause some damage while losing.

In reference to the new Super Bowl Champs, I am looking to find relatively good players for my new legion of boom. Unfortunately, I only have one game where I really want to use them

So far the best ratio I found was one foul per seven minutes.

Good idea though Jelme. Will be fun!

I kind of miss Captain Flagrant and his elbows of doom (10230033). I think he had a stretch of five flagrants over three games.

This guy (8199080) committed 99 fouls in season 11. I think I had gotten sick of his act and sold him in season 10. Anyone got a 100 foul season?

It seems like that guy mellowed out? He's had some really unremarkable seasons (foul-wise).

I've got a guy that probably could get 100... incidentally from the same country. Has to average over 6 fouls per 48 minutes for his career. Last 2 seasons with extended playing time: 4.5 fouls/37min & 4.5 fouls/34.7min. (a few seasons ago). His first ever season (S4) was 3.9 fouls/24.7 min. The last five games before I got him... he fouled out of 4 of them!

If I ever make it to d5... that guy is going to start every game.

Hey, it's either stalk or be stalked, as I found out on 1/27/2014: (251951.60)

You're stalking all my former leagues! This is getting creepy...

I'm going to need to purchase the OP's computer desk to hide under.

Rather impressive that I was able to flip the ("creepy stalker") script in a mere 3-4 days!

Anyway, did you ever find your giant box? Where have all your CDs gone? do-do-do, do-do-do [x20] (too bad your 3-year-old didn't pick up on that part of the song & start singing it ad nauseum!)

After some reflection, I think it'd be useful to keep you around as a stalker. God knows if we're deciding to go out for dinner it'd be a hell of a lot faster to just ask you where we're going than it is for us to figure it out our own damn selves.

I have to this point not found the big ol' box o' tunes, but I also have spent exactly no time looking for it. I do think I did finally throw out my cassettes some time back so I won't be running across that collection, though. It's just one of those things where it's not really worth the effort any more - just as an example, for some reason I really felt like I wanted to listen to The Cure's "Charlotte Sometimes" one day. I know I have a CD in said box which would have that song on it, but it's just so much easier and faster to pop over to the Y'alltube and just play it there. (And this actually happened at work so the CD wasn't really an option in that case anyway, but still convenience and laziness is one of my many vices).

the doctor determines the severity but not frequency of injuries
you dont hire a doctor to prevent u from getting injured u get a doc to heal u ...
