Whether a player is over their potential cap or not, their training pace will be increased if they are working with a higher level trainer. There is nothing special about a level 6 trainer, he is simply a bit more effective than a level 5, and a bit less than a level 7.

So u r saying that player skills will grow faster with new staff (lvl 6 or 7) than with staff 5? That is good but now I have some SERIOUS questions

1) Everybody suggests for us to wait for some period of time and than to c if the market prices drop. What happens in the meantime? Rich clubs will grab the new staff => New staff will increase players skills more => players will be better and more valuable => rich clubs will be stronger and richer !!! How about that
2) Who can guarantee that the prices will drop? Is there a logic "more staff in market produces lower prices" ? But what about new managers in market? What will that produce ??
3) There are staff with the same level but different salaries. So the the low budget teams will have to acquire staff with higher salaries and that means more budget deficit . Once again, rich teams get the glory other can declare bankruptcy.

Beside all of this, changes are good but not so good to everyone obviously

Regards
Nemanja

1) Indeed, rich clubs will pick up all the new expensive staff, and they will have paid way too much for them. So in fact they are losing money there...
2) They will: there is no reason why a level 5 trainer should cost 150k if he doesn't pay it back in salary over a span of time (that is if everybody who wants a lvl 5 trainer has 1). Already there are lvl 5 trainers due this evening who are still under 10k.
3) It will be paid back in market price: the higher the salary, the cheaper they will be to purchase. The lower the salary, the more they will cost to sign.

I agree with points 2 and 3, assuming that managers behave rationally! For the first few weeks, this won't be the case, but I expect that most competent managers will develop their own formulas for how much to pay for staff (eg salary saving x 15 = max. buying price)

How quickly this will happen, I really don't know.

The concern for me is the speeded up training caused by an influx of top level trainer, and how this will possibly unbalance the game in the favour of the already wealthy teams.

If the level 6 or 7 trainers are as worthwhile as they initially seem, we definitely seem to be headed towards a 'rich get richer' scenario, which is a long term disaster for the game.

1) Where do the rich teams loose the money? For a signing fee ? Come one ... Give 10M $ and I will buy the 7 lvl trainer because players will get more SKILLS ... Anyway, your argument stands but I'm not speaking about the current time.

True, if you have 10M $ to spent... But you will end up having a weekly negative income (the salary is much higher and I believe it will rise faster then a lvl 5), and training will be slower for top teams with a level 7 trainer then for beginners with a level 5 trainers (IMO): The players that they need to stay at that level are already highly developed and starting to hit the training soft cap. Add to that that they are older (even slower training) and have higher salaries, and hopefully you will see that it ain't easy for teams at the top to keep an edge...

But it all comes down to this: what are you willing to pay for lvl X staff member?

Say, you think a lvl 5 trainer is worth 30k/week (probably a somewhat high estimate, but the market will decide) and his weekly salary will rise with 1,8%/week. If you are able to get a trainer with 18k/week salary you will be able to keep him for 29 weeks before his salary will pass the 30k/week mark (you could keep him even longer, but then you would have to have payed much less then the number we are getting at). In that 29 weeks you would have been able to save 162k (which you didn't pay because you trainer didn't ask 30k salary every week), and that would have been a fair price to pay him to start with... All the numbers are fictional, but I hope you get my point. Somewhere there will be an average price for each level, we just have to find out where... :)

As a new player I can say that it's not fair for the new players. You all have good staff for almost free with old system and now I have to pay at least 300K to get 2-3 level staff. And this is all the money new clubs have...

The 300k isn't the problem, the weekly salaries will be... Start out with a lvl 1 trainer and train FT our stamina! You will save 20k/week and still be able to upgrade your players. And in 5 weeks you will have saved 100k which will buy you a lvl5 trainer easily...

I paid $27K more a week for Staff before this was implemented, and that was for a long time, so it evens out.

Well, I couldn't be more disappointed. The last thing I was expecting was to have to screw around with my staff more. And now I have to bid and auction for them. I'm not a day trader, I hate player auctions here and in Hattrick, but I deal with them. I'm a working professional who likes to drop in here for a bit of entertainment. I have no time or interest to be forced into bidding for my staff or suffering constantly increasing costs. I think this about does it for my Buzzerbeater experiment.

So let me get this straight. Before the new staff system, the way for newer owners to get competitive was mainly to train players since the cash flow was not enough to be competitive for top players on the transfer list. That was fine. There were problems with with TL, anyway, that really favored established and wealthier teams, and even though that system is being tinkered with, ultimately hopefully for the better, training is still the way to go with new teams, it seems.

But now, in order to train competitively with the higher division teams, we need a huge load of cash just to get a good trainer. Talk about trying to keep the lower teams down. Was this part not thought out? I really hope that something can be done to help Div. IV teams like mine who can't afford to plunk down half a million for a player, and now can't even bid on a top level trainer and will risk falling behind on training players. I thought I had a pretty good plan mapped out for reaching the higher divisions real soon, but I feel like my train has just wrecked.

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!
