Nico leaving BBBL after so much time is quite surprising indeed, but I assume he had no motivation left.

That mean 3 newcomers our way, that'll do quite a change.

About myself, Spartans are perhaps on the edge of a major change, that's not sure for now. I must admit that losing my play-off game due to a perfectly fu**** up line-up has hit me quite hard.

Now a quick overview of the situation in D.II.

In II.1 the most difficult is made for AZ with his very difficult win against the Providence Steamrollers of Nat Hickey, the happy owner of Ken Neudt. these two teams have succeeded to join training and results this season, an allready big performance (especially for Nat who has trained his PF Neudt as PG/SG almost all the season). The final against another former BBBL team, BC Minne, shouldn't be too difficult for AZ.

In II.2, the surprise comes from LA Stakers that has succeeded to win away after 2 OT against Split 84. he will play the finals against BBC Falco Gent that has won his conference final against Beerschot Bears. Falco Gent will have the HCA for the finals so he's the n°1 contender to the promotion.

In II.3, there's Obira Dragons. And when the dragons are in D.II, they are champion (4 times in his last 4 seasons in D.II!). He won't have an easy task against another former BBBL team, bavi vilvoorde, but I have no doubt about the final result.

In II.4, the best team in the regular season was Estrellas Absurdas. But the PO are everything but easy for our favourite GM (sorry AZ :p). Her win against goalois was even a miracle because she had an injuried player before the game, and another one after only one minute! She came back from -14 to +12 in the last quarter to reach the finals. She will play against Les Barbarians, their very first PO finals. AnGi remains the n°1 contender to the promotion but that won't be easy.

i feel offended :P nah, joking. Angi is an amazing GM and a worthy replacement for GM-LoD. What i always find amusing is that u make it sound as if the PO's in II are over already. i feel bad for Nat Hickey. Provenance vs Angels should be the PO finals, not the conference finales...

i'm looking forward to the BBBL challenge and i've started looking for some extra players. Tho i'm kinda feeling confident that i could fight for a relegation spot with my current roster without additions.

Big respect for Nico's performance who leaves us after 20 seasons streak in BBBL…

Thanks.
With a baby boy of 17 months old and a promotion as COO of my company here in Argentina, i got to adapt "a bit" my priorities. ;)
I had still few motivation thanks to jushi, my Argentinean first division team, but it has been cancelled as it was forbidden to have 2 teams...quite funny to see that few months later they accept it.
Enjoy the game and life in general!
Kind regards to everybody!
Chau chau
Nico.
