To my astonishment no one mentions John Stockton as an awesome defender....

That guy was great in stealing the ball. And if you say the same for Bruce Bowen then you have obviously never watched Nate McMillan at his prime :)

Funny how maybe the best generation of guards played against each other for quite a while - MJ, Stock, Isiah Thomas, Magic all have quite many seasons against each other (though not on the same positions).

Steve Nash gets an honorable mention for passing in my book. There can't be much doubt about rebounding indeed. What people said is true - Rodman, Wilt and Russell.

However when it comes to pure leadership I would say The Admiral had the best. He almost managed to turn a very mediocre Spurs team into a championship contender.

And yes, MJ was a scorer and not a shooter. That showed best in his late years. He was an awesome clutch player, but a shooter - I would not call him that. Heck Scottie was a better shooter.l

The Admiral is a born leader, but when you talk about pure leadership the best are MJ and Russell(and also Duncan is ahead of Robinson in the same Spurs franchise),no doubt about that
The funny thing about MJ,is that if you take every skill individually, probably he wasn't the best in any skill(I would give him a shot only in OD and Driving, but he is not at the top of the list). He is the GOAT in the overall sum of skill, but not in a specific skill

Ever heard of Casey Jacobsen? Makes Fredette look like my 6 year old duaghter.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

I only remember him in the NBA. Can you put a link to his college career?
