hmmm....just a suggestion but perhaps the top 2 teams in this current pl can both be captains for the next pl. And each captain can pick 7 other teams to join their side. And then the captain can come up with some sort of team name for that side of teams.

I like the option of letting the top teams decide, but for those who want to be playing with their mates, like myself, I'd rather be on their team than be split up & playing against them. As much as I'd like to beat them & trash talk them, I'd prefer to be on the same team.

But I'm not entirely fussed, like most people will just be happy to play regardless of who we're up against. Though for the newer teams I think a draft (like what you mentioned) would be ideal. Unless players are unhappy with their current conferences then they remain the same & then the top teams of the conferences draft the newer teams into their respective conferences (XBB or IV.7).

Name I guess can come down to a vote with their respective conferences.

Well what we could do is that at the end of each pl the teams could remain the same except for the fact that some teams will demote and promote. Once these new teams have joined one of the 2 sides, perhaps the captains could trade teams between them to try and balance out the league. That way if 1 side is really good and 1 side isn't as good then it will balance out at the end of the season by trading teams.

I think it is important to keep the sides similar to increase competition and rivalry.
Perhaps team captains can take in to consideration and teams that have strong preferences to be on a particular side or on the same side as a friend.

I think before deciding anything to do with team picking, you need to see who is interested first.

i dont know if naker is planning a coup or something but i think his idea sucks

i am currently the top 4/7 team and i sure as hell dont want to be the captain or do any work, i just want to kick xbb butt

if naker wants to be the captain he should just say so

i was never in 4/7 but even after half a season i feel like i am a part of their team (the best part :) )and even though i like some of the xbb guys more than some of the guys on my side i am used to them being my rivals

yeah the names suck a bit but how much sense does the utah jazz or sacramento kings or la lakers make?

it is tradition and even tho i can only remember the last 5 seconds somehow i can remember my team

so my 2c says keep koop and yoda (or naker) as captains and get them to draft the teams (after the discussion in the federations)

keep the xbb vs 4/7 format but hopefully make the two sides a bit more even, maybe if we had gotten the maggots and xbb got hammers things would have been stacks mo even

i like naker and yoda and want to stick with them next season and even possum pete is growing on me now that he finally has a half decent team

i think the team thing is what made our pl unique, if you dont like it there are stacks of others you can join
