i agree, but a complete lineup for a basketball team is 5, if i remeber my basketball days.

i think it shouldn't be difficult to implement a system that picks up players in the bench if the starting five are fouled out or injured.

having peple walkin in from the audience should'n t be possible at all.

if somebody submit a lineup with 4< players just make it a default victory for the player with the complete lineup, even though I can't see that happening often unless in the case of bot teams.

just my 5 cents, you've got a very good game here don't spoil it with silly things.

we agree that lucky fans shouldn't just walk on the court if not neccesary, and we had a system working where this was true. We changed the input/output and it broke this system for one set of games... we have now fixed it again.

I think what charles was trying to say was a more general statement, regarding people who set overly constrained lineups and then are upset that the GE didn't figure out exactly what they meant.

let me give you an example.

you submit a lineup with only 9 players. You set a complete depth chart.. but since there are 15 depth chart slots and only 9 players you have some serious overlap... so your starting PG is also your backup SG and reserve SF. So at some point your PG goes to the bench, and comes back in for your SG who got tired... then your starting SF gets hurt or in foul trouble. but the backup is playing PF, but your reserve SF is playing SG. Currently the GE is going to put someone in at SF that isn't in your depth chart, cause there is nobody on your bench available. It isn't considering all possible swaps (there are a lot of them) and finding the most optimal lineup. This approximation works OK in the case where you have 12 players avail and all depth charts filled and they aren't highly overlapping.. but it begins to breakdown otherwise.

What charles is saying is that we arent going to spend a lot of time worrying about how the GE treats the overly constrained case, other than it doesn't do something stupid (like put in a lucky fan when there are viable players available).

i am 101% with you.

keep up the good work guys. i really appreciate the way you come here and discuss game issues with players who might get obnoxious... and they usually do actually..

there's lot of good feedback out here and lot of good ideas waiting to be implemented to make this game even better.

regards

You got 0 and your opponent got 25

That is a forfeit. It means someone in your lineup was missing.

Did you sell a player and forget to update your lineup?

You sold Cyril Stovall recently. Was he in your default lineup?

Never was. That's the reason I got rid of him and another player, and have 2 on the TTL still. I still have all starters and backupsand the same lineup set from before.
