Yup, the salary constraints have just become too tight and need to do a reboot on the team.

That's too bad. Hopefully you can do something like Toonces did last season and manage to stay up (unless you don't want to, of course, and I can't really blame you there).

I've been close to a re-tool myself the last couple of seasons, but it's been so long since I played with my roster that I can't remember if these Machines are standard or metric.

Well as long as you're debating retooling I'll ask....

What the heck happened? You went out and spent big bucks on 4 (!!) hall of fame guards and it doesn't look like any of them were trained at a pace that would justify their potential (GRANTED its probably still too early to tell on the young Spaniards). I feel like you made the commitment financially but never schematically. I'm glad because I always figured you'd be completely and utterly dominating this league by now.

Ouch, if you can't tell the diff between feet/inches and centimeters, I mean.. huh.

As for rivals, maybe I should keep from posting.. it seems the game punishes me for being activeish.

And yay for retooling. It is loads of fun. Makes logging in worth something. Nevermind my -660 PD, it was fun. Can't wait to do so again in a few seasons.

Ah, there's the answer in your own question. 4 is too many. Must SP train to get to a dominate level quickly. 2 Pos training isn't that much slower, but for the most important (length I mean) of training regimens (JR/OD), ya really should SP. 3 trainees is the way to go imo.

Its not really that as I had planned to 2 position train through the age of 26...what happened is the price of players at that age has completely collapsed. When I had originally bought the 2nd two HOF levelers, players were selling for 6-7-8-9 million, now they are selling for 2-3...miscalculation on my part.

Not really a miscalculation. There's no real way of you knowing the prices would collapse without proper guidance from the BB overlords

Doesn't really matter much now anyways. Going to go into a make money mode more than a win mode for the time being, my luck the market will be inflated again when going to come out of it LOL...

Or common sense since this game is still in it's infancy, players haven't fully developed, and the BB's especially Edju still haven't fully figured out what their trying to do.

I think we will see further drops in the future but for now some stagnation.

One easy fix would be get rid of Free Agents....adding more players to the pool when there are fewer teams just kills the market.

That being said, I'm definitely in the game for the long term and know its a long term game.

Well, I may be wrong yet again, but I believe that was the goal of adding FAs. If the econ stagnates as previously stated, then I suppose the devs are ok with where we're currently at.

It is a bit of luck. Whether you could 'forsee' the drop in market values coming or not, it still comes down to the timing of the drop and when you choose to make your move. Other than the devs, I doubt anyone can exactly conclude when the deflation would occur, so how long does one wait to make said move? I don't really complain about the market itself, as long as it's equal for all. If we're all playing by the same rules and parameters, there's really nothing to complain about. The thing I do complain about are salaries, but whatever.

I certainly took a rather large hit because of the market, but I do believe I rolled with it fairly well considering I absolutely could not wait any longer to change. Good luck with your transformation.
