i personnaly think -am not trying to insult anyone- that there is a bit of a hypocrisy here...

i think what akage is proposing is a mere list of all punishments the GMs inflict.

just a list and the reason for the penalty...

no public courts.

someone mentioned about the reputation and so one... i will still respect someone who got a fine for bidding more than he should cause he learned his lesson. i wont respect someone who has 2-3 and more teams and transfers players...

relax people...its just a list. And i think all of us who are commenting to this post we shouldnt fear to be judged? i hope am right ;)))

I totally agree with your opinion, it could be mine. Thanks for the detailled suggestion

But I want to add one note to the following statement:

last, i want to point out that the idea is not against the GMs' work. it's not because they don't do their job properly, we don't question their credibility. it's strictly on the managers' side, to have a feeling that things are more clear and fair, and knowing your opponents better .

The names of GM's who made the punishment/ban/other do not have to be on the list, so the list cannot be used against them.

There should be a room somewhere where cheaters would be tied and handed over to the vindictiveness of other users.
We would come and throw things at them like pillows or force them to eat marshmallows soaked in tabasco.

That would be much more effective than a list IMHO.

Since the objective is to scare off and shame potential cheaters, you want to do it properly. Stopping cheaters is not enough, we need revenge aswell.

I find the original suggestion weak and overly cautious ;)

I could imagine that it will encourage light cheating, and endless discussions.

Because when i know i get fined like this for doing that, i could check if it worth it to risk it and also people come on complaining and say why this guy get a 200k fine for this transfer and i got a 250k fine for a similiar transfer etc.

Shouldn't be that list scaring enough for cheaters? -> (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/cheatReport.aspx)

I'm in complete agreement here. Since GM decisions aren't up for debate, I have a feeling that this would just make their jobs harder.

I see the following additional problems:
• The forums would be mess of complaints about a user or his friend getting his team locked, or fined, or kicked in the nuts or whatever it is GMs do to people; which would force GMs to not only issue the fines and kicks, but also close the threads

• Kamikaze teams with loads of cash who are quitting anyway could see how many times they could get fined before they went broke, for all the world to see (I know I'd do this simply for the laugh factor), leading to more work for the GMs and more kicks to the nuts, and most importantly,

• Someone would have to design the freaking page that displayed this information, make sure it was free of bugs and displayed the information correctly. Hahahaha who am I kidding, that wouldn't happen, we still have teammates guarding each other while shooting in the match viewer, and the same Oops page since they launched the new design that says "We are working on fixing this more elegantly," etc.

Other than that, and the reasons CrazyEye mentioned, I think it's a spectacular idea.

dear all thank you for any feedback,

this is for instance a typical pillory of a popular online game
http://board.gladiatus.com/index.php?form=Warn&s=f1a4...

its just a list...no hard feelings....no arguments, no debates....
if you really think about it there is NO really any reason for the GMs to act like their handling a matter of life or death....its just a list of those who dont play by the BB's rules...
its not like the end of the world.....

i read about rumours of people jeopardising their fame, feelings of revenge, upset such a list might bring to users in all communities....and i think there is a bit of an exaggeration....
