And if you look you will see guys with 18 JS shooting under 40%. That is a bad shooter. So its not full training at all, unless your goal is to pay more salary and lose games.

40% is really high our best shooting team in our league(22 win with 4 looses), has none player last season above 40% with more then 10 taken three, and he didn't played inside which will crush shooting percentages additionally and in the german league many teams forfeit games which will push the ratings also.

I am not sure how the shooter look like, afaik some of them have high range but he managed to draft last so i won't say that his shooters are bad, but you need to live with lower shooting percentages here then in real life.

But please don't blame me. You asked - I gave You answer. Even if You don't like answer (I don't like too), it is fact.
I didn't recommend this training I only answered. HELLO!

Additionally JS is the most flexible training in BB. You can use many combinations - PG+SG, SG+SF, SF+PF. So practically You can train every player and set him on the best position for him. So in this way it's easier to win matches.
If You want to train OD or PS You can set player only as PG in match, so You have less number of tactical possibilities.
We have two other two-positional trainins: RB and DV. But RB isn't so flexible because there is only one combination. Even training DV has only two combinations.

c: That you can't train 6 players for OD etc. (hello you CAN)

But JS You can train for 6 players with highest possible speed and OD You can't. It's important because there is difference on TL if You sell 20 or 22 yo player with the same level of skill.
If You train JS for 6 players then nobody can train faster than You, so You can receive the best price on TL. Meanwhile if You train OD for 6 players then other managers can train faster than You. And therefore You can't receive the best price on TL, because older players are cheaper.

You know, I do agree with you to some degree there - but then again, I'm still going to train lots of JS this season.

There are some caveats, though. It's JS for Forwards, so IS does get some boost. Four of my trainees are Forwards (or, rather, should become Fs this season; they are nominal Cs). Two of them will cap during or after the season. And I've never really trained their JS before, except for the odd All-Star week when I did not have to train Stamina.

So why am I doing this? Well, I'm finishing off my two PFs so they can also hit mid-range jumpers. I'm not mindlessly pushing the skill, I'm trying to get another matchup advantage. Prolific JS or so will totally be enough for me there. Also, my SF trainees who got their necessary C skills last season need some JS too - again, I won't push the skill beyond sensational or so. Lastly, I hope that I'll never need to train JS again, ever. Or if I do, it'll be five or six seasons from now.

Still, let's not forget that there are good reasons to train JS. It's just that people seem to see it as a primary skill for guards when it's a secondary skill for every position.

I guess the main issue here is a lack of well rounded training whether for guards or bigs. With the boated skill pushing the salary to the cap, training the other skills are no longer possible.

Thus there are too many players on the TL with unbalanced primary skills and or very poor secondaries who have capped or close capping <sigh>

i guess you are right with the jumprange-thing. its very underrated (on every position imo). you are also right with the passing-thing.

but insideshot on guards seems to be pretty useless for me. when i played my sf (one of the balanced guys / insideshot 12) on sg i was very disapointed with the outcome of the game and his personal statline most of the time.

i recently acquired this guy:
Jump Shot: tremendous(13) Jump Range: wondrous(14)
Outside Def.: xxx Handling: prolific(11)
Driving: prolific(11) Passing: prominent(10).

his percentages last year also were not that good, maybe because of js13 isnt that good for a 1st devision. but he was a starter in Futa Newén's run for the chilenian championchip. i hope he is doing good
