moutlinho is correct, as always, but I think it is for more than fun!

A 3-2 zone really hurts patient, I would imagine a 1-3-1 zone would totally cripple it.

What I like about about patient is that you can mix it up a little with look inside. I like to swap between them so my opponents who may be considering a 2-3 zone against my LI (fools!) and will probably play man to man occasionally get caught out as I play a patient and one of my players explodes for 60+ points.

Yeah but for some reason his 9k SG is scoring at will like a 50k SG would against every team that was in my league. The only reason I beat him my second game was because of Strong/Proficient GS and CT effort.

Well I lost to a team like that last year and all he played was R&G/2-3 zone. There's a new type of team developing that plays with players that look like this:

Jumpshot:12-15
Jump Range:7-10
Outside Defense:2-7
Handling: 9-12
Driving:10-15
Passing: 2-6
Inside shot: doesn't matter
Inside defense: 5-10
Rebounding: 8-10
Shot Blocking: doesn't matter

and theses players don't cost over 15k on your team.Trying to get one is almost impossible as they go for 250k-650k. I'm glad I got swept but I want to CT that (hum..hum..) that build that weak team.(I TIE against him and got did in the fourth quarter)

Edited: I really didn't look at your team or the game but 9k player like this destroyed my D.V league. but it was a team of them so it more like the team in my league that 1-4(23263)

I don't know if you realize this, but his SG was so good in V. league because most of the teams (including yours) had between atrocious and awful outside D, thus meaning his defender was weaker and he could knock down more shots. Now that he is in IV however, the teams he is facing have mediocre to respectable outside D mostly, so he is shooting worse even though he has the amount of skill as last season.

Well all I can think of is feeding the ball to the best player like feeding it to Wilt. By the way, I love patient. It's the only way for me to win games.

I like Patient, but that's really weird! I've played Patient only in one game, that too a PL game, but it has an exploiting OD mismatches aura that attracts me!

It's common knowledge that the teams and players in higher divisions will be better.. Secondly my Guards have decent OD. The only reason it's low as a team is because my three other starters low OD trumps theres.

*sigh* do you understand now? His 9k wasn't playing like a 50k SG, he was playing like a 9k SG, who is just naturally better then your teams defense.

The team outside defense rating is based heavily on the PG and SG and only medium on the SF and slightly the PF. Therefore, the rating you see is based on your "decent OD" guards primarily.

An outside focused $9k SG probably has Strong-Prominent JS/JR. With an awful team OD rating, I would suspect that is higher than your guards OD. This is why patient worked so well for him. His SG could beat your guards any way he wanted all day. In DivIV, the absolute minimum OD you generally see is proficient for guards. Doesn't bode as well for a player of his caliber there...

To stay on topic, though, it is fairly obvious OD rules this game because it can stop outside shots AND passing to the inside mismatches. I wish they would scale it back a bit, but I don't think that is possible or likely at this juncture. Very, very good observation that patient primarily searches for the weak link in OD. Makes sense that my outside shooter always dominates this tactic even if I have an even more favorable matchup inside. It would be great if it searched for mismatches on the low block, too.
