I'm a Crows fan and unless we have massive improvements in the midfield we won't get near the 8. We got killed in the clearances last season.

I think we'll be a lot better in that - training is so rough now compared to what it used to be, so our players should be able to get in there and get the hard ball a lot better. I'm confident, I really am.

There is always one team that seems to go from rubbish to good in a season - as a West Coast fan I would have been dragged to the loony bin if I'd suggested we would be top 4 before last season...

Not sure if that team will be Adelaide, though they have doen well in the NAB cup, not that that means a great deal

In my view the NAB cup has little value. The Magpies and the Cats were both slaughtered. Means nothing. Adelaide does like good though...

Yeah, I'm not really basing anything off our NAB cup form, except for two things:

1) The game plan appears to be what Sanderson promised, i.e. a lot tougher and harder at the ball, and so much more kicking than under Craig;
2) Our players aren't injured! Porplyzia's actually on the field! Hooray!

NAB Cup means nothing. The Dogs won it a few years ago but were always a good player or two from matching Geelong, Collingwood and St Kilda in the real deal. Carlton's won it a few times and not been near a premiership. Geelong won it in 2006 and went on to fall apart during the season and finish 10th. Long story short it's not that good of an indicator, even though winning it is certainly not a bad thing.

Imo Collingwood will drop off a bit and I say that as one of the few non Pies supporters who like them (due to family). A fair amount of injuries, Davis and Krakouer gone and a new coach who doesn't particularly convince me.

Ladder (kind of boringly like last years though...):

1. Geelong
2. Hawthorn
3. West Coast
4. Collingwood
5. Carlton
6. Fremantle
7. Sydney
8. Richmond
9. North
10. Adelaide
11. Essendon
12. St Kilda
13. Western Bulldogs
14. Melbourne
15. Brisbane
16. Gold Coast
17. Port
18. Daylight
19. GWS

Cats vs Hawks GF rematch. The right team will win this time! ;)

Guess you are unaware Krakouer did his knee and is out for the season.

i have noticed that a few people are giving the Bulldogs not much chance of a finals show. just wondering if there is any reasoning for that? because i would surely put us above richmond, north and adelaide at the least
