I know there was at least someone here who Zyler mentored into about four seasons in division IV.

What basics were they? Clearly it wasn't the ability to string a proper sentence together :-p

Maybe he tried to pass on his cheating secrets :O Omg maybe zyler is lance Armstrong!!!

Now now comparing zyler to lance armstrong is a bit far fetched. Lance is an icon and he was with sherryl crow.

I think a lot of people misunderstood his directions and, worse, followed them half heartedly. He also said, on many occasions, to me and emphasised it well, that playing "his way" was high risk. Sometimes it paid off and sometimes you'd get burnt. I think that some people got burnt then cried about it, blaming him when I'm fairly sure he made it clear the risk/reward possibilities.

...but you're all welcome to jump on the "hater" bandwagon if you like. It's the easiest option when everyone else does it.

What you say Axis makes a lot of sense and probably the way zyler played was high risk/high reward. You would have to say though that generally their wasn't any real great reward and results from his team. He was just bouncing between div2 and div3 blaming the world along the way.

What he may have done well is put new div4 teams under his wings who thanks to him still play this great game. So he wasn't all bad I guess.

The best answer is that we don't know. If he actually did use drugs to enhance his performance, then that's pretty uncool. If not, it's sad that all this had to happen. We don't know, though.

What he's done since his competitive days I have respect for, though.

I have no doubt that he doped.. he just never got caught... I am of the mindset that if someone is spouting bullshit and innuendo about you, you fight it with every breath... to simply give up, says i am guilty, and hopefully the facts dont go public now...

If there wasnt an American running the UCI, I think it would have been a completely different journey for Lance.. 1 day the truth will come out, and guys like Pat Mcqaids heads will be on platters...
