Is anyone else planning on running then?

Anyway, I'll ask a question I guess. What systems and plans will the candidates put in place to ensure that the next generation of Aussie youngsters are well trained?

And what tactical expertise do you bring to the table to ensure that the team is successful?

And can we have more arguments? Tis entertaining.

Noticing the lack of talent coming through our to our U21 side I decided to create a federation with its primary focus being to help out our NTs talent. The idea in my head was hopefully no future U21 coach would have to deal with such a poorly talented roster

In followup to Koop's questions I'll add this: Having read the above comment you made in your speech my question is simple. How will you achieve this...exactly?

Great speech Latino Heat.

I can vouch for him as having been an excellent assistant for me in Bolivia, an outstanding member of the Calamari and clearly a manager on the rise.

However I am sure most reading this will be concerned about this "debate" with Leeroy and similar ones that you have been involved in. So my question is how will you work to ensure unity in the Australian community to get everyone working together for the best possible result?

First off I will locate the best talent for each age group aged 21 and under using BuzzerBeaterStats. Then the first communication I have with the players coaches will be introducing myself to them and asking them if they are planning to train their players. If yes, I will give my reccomendations to them on how to effectively and successfully train their player, even giving them training plans to follow if necessary. If no, then I will try my best to get that player on the TL by providing information on all the benefits the coach and his franchise can get by selling such a quality player. I have had experience in this and yodabig first introduced me to this method. After that, with all the cooperative coaches, I plan to get updates after each training update on their progression. Rather than just check myself if they have been trained or not this week, I think the more the players coach is involved then the more benefits we will reap from it. Ill be doing all the regular things like advertisements and skill requirements so coaches have a target to aim for. One thing I will do is put in just as much effort into the 18 & 19 year olds as I will to the 21 & 20 year olds. To try minimise the chance of what happened in the last two seasons when we made it to the world championships and the lack of talent that came up. Communication and motivation is the main 'system' I would have in place to ensure that the next generation of Aussie youngsters are well trained.

This will be a lot of work, and just like our NT coach Whitebeard I plan to have permanent assistants helping me throughout my entire term if elected. Ideally I would assign them tasks for them to do each week, gather all the information I recieve and oversee the whole process. I would also have my own share of the workload. Dont worry I wont be getting my assistants to do all the work

And what tactical expertise do you bring to the table to ensure that the team is successful?

Like I have said, I have been involved in NT discussions for the past two seasons. First was with Bolivia U21 and we did get a couple of victories where we were not the favourites to win due to a lack of talent but partly because of tactics management we were able to get some pleasent surprises. This year with our own NT I was involved in tactics discussions and pretty much all the time I was really close if not spot on with what Whitebeard ended up going with anyway.

Thanks for your question. If I have not answered it properly/clearly enough or you dont understand something I have written please let me know and I'll try again

Dont think Koop's asked a question. Did you mean mllama?

Noticing the lack of talent coming through our to our U21 side I decided to create a federation with its primary focus being to help out our NTs talent. The idea in my head was hopefully no future U21 coach would have to deal with such a poorly talented roster

This comment was about the federation I made and how I created it because I noticed the lack of talent coming through last season. So I made it to hopefully help out with the training and amount of Aussies players being trained. If we can help by providing one or two extra players that the U21/NT coach would not have had otherwise then we would be doing our part successfully in helping with the amount of Aussie talent available. However the federation is also a private thing so I will not go into specifics of how we do things in there. All I will say is there is a lot of encouragement to get Aussie trainees and once we have them we all work together to create as good of a training plan as we can for said player.

Im not sure if I answered your question properly Matty8? I feel it was more of a question about my fed rather than U21 coaching stuff. If I have misunderstood then yeah just let me know

Cheers yodabig.

Well I was already thinking about this. If I got elected I would firstly approach Leeroy and ask if we would still want to be involved with the U21 team or one of the assistants. Putting our personal differences aside I would do what is best for the U21 team and if that meant listening to the previous U21 coach's opinion (because he has the experience) then so be it. If it is the best suggestion of em all then I would go with that, even if we clearly are not fans of each other for now.

Not sure if he would want to help especially if I got elected but the door would be open if he ever decided too.

And like I said, everyone who has an interest in our NTs will get a chance to have their say if they wish. They can BB-mail me, post in these forums or sign up to our offsite forum..

Cool?

That is good. Leeroy has a lot of respect around here and did a fantastic job in season 20 with the team so he certainly knows what he is doing and would be an invaluable assistant/advisor.
