Poking around here since one of my buddies used to play the game in this league before quitting. Just thought I'd post here because it's so damn lonely here. Holy crap, ShadowSlam, your posts are basically 100% of this forum's activity. I haven't seen anything this bad besides the all bot D.V leagues. So anyway, hello. I hope either this forum gets more activity or you promote into a more active league. Good luck.

Thank you sir. Easton Nighthawks is the only team that really on even effort etc. Stands a chance of knocking me out of the playoffs and forcing me into another sad, lonely, desperate, pathetic year in D. V

Just checked your players and was confused for a moment before I realized. Damn. Running a team without buying players. Pretty cool. Very salary efficient and increased merchandise income. You should do well if you can pull of the training. I assume you're using a very high level trainer. Mind if I ask what level your trainer is? =P

Using an "Exceptional" level trainer.... (can;t support World Reknown in D. V)

all last season was 2-pos training, 1on1 F... so made it a little easier... this year's had a lot of 1-pos training. Few weeks here and there of 2-pos (ASB, playoffs)... my training centers around Marks currently...him being my highest potential guy.

Your team seems to be going in an okay direction. You've got drafting down pretty well to have gotten all those high potential players. Good job. The only problem I see with this kind of strategy is that managing training minutes could become all sorts of complicated once you start replacing players, since it seems that most players are around the same age. How do you plan to deal with that?
Sorry about all the questions. You have one of the most interesting teams I've seen yet. =P

No worries about the questions.

As you may have noticed Luwa... Is probably my teams best player (trust me he still is) but he isn't really being trained due to his potential vs those of others.

I alternate people out of the 1-position into 2-position based on age and potential.

My whole team philosophy kinda thing is to have 5 SF'ish type players plus subs etc... Obvious differences because different starting skills, different heights, different times entering into the training.

My main focus determines what I would be training which affects all of my secondary and tertiary trainees.

So far this draft I have a guy who may be as good as marks or branch, so definitely would replace Goodrich, and still a few options of people that may even be better than Marks which would shift the training plan entirely again.

Currently Marks' OD is being worked to an 8 then to his I'd and rebounding.

If I get a better potential guy it'd reset me back to 1-1 forward training

Pretty interesting. This could blow or work out really well. For example, how are you going to afford the Exceptional trainer when the player salaries rise (possibly significantly) next season?

Granted... I just upped the scouting for this last portion as I have several guys on my radar whom seem to be EXCELLENT draftees...

Baseline Weekly Economy
Expenses Revenue
Player Salaries: $ 37 603 Attendance: $ 87 660
Staff Salaries: $ 40 786 Merchandise: $ 23 099
Scouting: $ 40 000 TV Contract: $ 56 205
Total: $ 118 389 Total: $ 166 964
Typical Weekly Net Income: $ 48 575

but I am making about 80K+ usually per week in income... have a good chunk stockpiled, and my arena is:

Bleachers : 8000 (Current Price: $6) (Price as of 9/21/2013: $6)
Lower Tier : 1100 (Current Price: $23) (Price as of 9/21/2013: $23)
Courtside Seats : 250 (Current Price: $67) (Price as of 9/21/2013: $67)
Luxury Boxes : 12 (Current Price: $487) (Price as of 9/21/2013: $487)

pretty sizeable for D. V/IV

so even if the salaries jump.... (Right now, Marks will jump to prob around 6K by next season, Branch 4500, Goodrich about the same. Luwa to 5K...) etc.

Salary as a team will still be under 60K as a team. Merchandise will go up... Ticket Revenue same/better area... and if promote, TV contract goes up.

so affording the trainer is not an issue either.

My chances to promote drop to 0% today with Mark's Injury.... a devastating blow.
