I expect the sheer luck component was first having your opponent play full court press, and then only conceding 3 more TOs than they did...
Perhaps he was trying to exploit the fact that I was playing a tall at SF and switching D with Ryder, but gees Donnelly hasnt got bad handling or passing, Riviera has extremely high driving and Sarstedt has rather high passing, so his strategy was never going to work and from memory when a team plays FCP, they tend to tire a little bit later in the game as it affects stamina.
My extra 3 turnovers and his 5 extra steals were probably more of a reflection of him using extra enthusiam, and ofcourse if your guards have really good ball handling, a FCP can allow your offense to receive the ball in space.
Got to admire the young fellow for having a go against me and no doubt he will learn from the experience (as I have also done.)
