It depends on the cases, but we often would see users tanking the second game to get a third game. Now, if your best chance to win the final is by winning the second game, you will not throw it away. At least, now, you only possibly tank games during finals for tactical reason. Before, it wasn't unusual to see agreement between the two users to just go for three games and not care who would win.

There is no more attendance revenue for the third game, but there is some kind of prize money. What you got and half that for the losing team. Value varies depending on the league level.
