Cheers, part II with the full lineups should be a great game tomorrow.
We pulled it out at the death after being down most of the game...should probably concentrate on the league, but can't resist trying to win a trophy finally!

Always a tough choice. I think you might be good enough to get away with it though.

Not that I'm trying to put you off, but you have a pretty good chance to guarantee yourself HCA throughout the playoffs while in the tournament you will need the luck of the draw at worst, or to beat everyone else on neutral ground (at best).

I'm not saying you can't win in a neutral arena, but HCA is always useful.

Also, Innes may have a few less skills at the end of the playoffs than he will be in the tournament final!!!

My lot certainly will, although I doubt we get that far. I'm not sure we can stop Innes even if we have HCA.

Of course, Arab City could do everyone else a favour and take out Innes and crew this week!!!

Should be interesting without Innes if he is still unfit. On the flip side, he hit 15 experience this week

Well the BB gods don't smile at me this season, into the game without Innes and another injury mid game at +1 took me out. nevermind. Looks like the season is over for me.

I dunno, with Innes being 35 I think you have to try and win the league, even if it looks like you might not have HCA as he's not going to have too many more chances to win trophies. You've still probably got a 20-30% chance at it, as your team is really difficult up to match up against when Innes is on form.

Looking at the tournament draw, it doesn't get much easier for Arab City, Erks next up on the giantkiller block.

I wasn't really happy with my draw either, think only you and Erks left are a harder draw than Lemon. Sabre has more salary, but slightly less DMI at the moment, and a less deep + more predictable team. (imo imo, etc)

I actually had the basis of a preview post on Monday for the last round, got every teams salary and DMI but then ended up going to the pub and haven't had time to do it. Suffice to say all the strongest teams got through, some had to work harder than others for it. (exception: Galaxy Walkers - Ipswich WinterWolves. That one was very evenly matched, Galaxy put in more effort so got through)

For the next round, rough seed-wise, we have
1 vs 2
6 vs 7
4 vs 8
3 vs 5

I'm not confident at all, but lets see what I can come up with...Good luck to the other teams left in.

That was... very hard on the Erks.

My lot were ahead for precisely 0 seconds of regulation and still managed to scrape into the semis.

I did enjoy the OT lineups my coach deployed to play motion - 4 bigs and a point guard who can't shoot. To be fair, he did put a lot of ID out there to defend the Erks' LI and a few of my bigs can make jump shots but boy it looked weird.

Epic for the neutral, not enjoyable at all for either side but at least my lot get to have another go next week. The queue for the massage table is going to be longggg though after all those minutes. Not looking forward to the training update tomorrow.
