Well you only lost by 2 against Kikaazz during the season, so you'll prolly give him a run for his money.

I'm pretty glad with how my season went only lost to the top 2 teams.
My trainees are farely close to how i want them, perks of having low potential i guess
I never expected to finish 3rd overall and definitely thought Angi would've ended with a better record.
But i think besides that the season went pretty much as expected.

Well, let's first get to the finales. I've lost my best bigman on an injury, so my season is done. He won't be in any sort of shape for the finales... (it also put me off investing in a new player tbf) i've got deep pockets and you'll see my team make additions over the next couple of weeks. i'm actively looking to prepare my squad for a BBBL push next season.

My money on the MVP voting:

Vaes 1
Montano 2
Kasperovich 3

let's see if i'm right or not :P

Kiks what the hell happened?
This loss is by far the biggest surprise of the season.
Mad props to Coach Aurora, i'm looking forward to our match.

Well my intention was to go for the surprise tactic.
I knew my opponent would go all in with nothing to lose. But he guessed it 100% correct.
I did not see that coming.

In my opinion this loss is due to bad luck on my side and a massive amount of luck on Coach Aurora's side.
There are no sure things in this game I guess. Very sad it happens in the play-offs.

you will promote regardless of your result. Right now, you've handed me the ONE choice i didn't want to have... Right now, i have to chose between promoting with you, or letting someone else promote. Here is the probem with both:

1) i promote
Everyone is happy since that mean that the one team who was nearly certain to get the championship next season, is gone. And yes, i'm saying nearly certain, cause i could buy myself a way to a championship. i have enough reserves to buy the necessairy 3 starters i need to get a full Starting 5 man of BBBL worthy players.

2) i forgo promotion

i could let someone else promote. Problem with that is that, because i'm letting someone else promote, it means that II.3 will be getting 2 former BBBL teams in our division. Whats more is one of those teams will be Shoes or Mirc (most likely Mirc) MIRC has an aging roster and will have to rebuild (so he will want to stay in the BBBL for an extra season. to bad that his best C just got injured and thus he's nearly certain making the trip down). Mirc has to rebuild his entire roster except 1 player, so his team i can probably handle. However, If the second team is Falco, then you are facing a team that is close to being BBBL ready again. Yolymapa has the depth of 6 or 7 40k players. That means he has no weaknesses and will be able to easely put up a competitive squad for each game. And then we got Basketcats (last seasons II.3 champion) who's had a full season of BBBL economics (meaning he'll be sitting on 2M or more) or Bradok (who's got also 2M + the sale of Cassiers, putting him around 6M). None of those options are really interesting. And as we have just witnesses with Kikaaz, nothing is certain

also, you all are talking about me making the finals as if it's a done deal. I got to face Beerschot Bears and i'm still a C short in case you hadn't noticed... So i'll put off my victory dance for now. But it's true that i've been put into a position that i didn't want. i'm going to have to rethink this very well... I'll inform you of my decision in the following days. But the winner of Meircity vs insane hangtime could maybe get a present they were not expecting...

to be fair, i disagree with your analyse here. Imho, you made a mistake. If we compare both teams, you will see that Kikaaz has the better inside, a slightely better guards aswell. You have HCA. So there are 2 ways you can go about this game:

a) you decide to do something random as you did. That means that you aren't using the best attack for your team, which is inside (and we all know that!) Hence, if my opponent isn't using his best attack, then i'm a happy camper, cause you aren't using the best out of your team. If you went inside, you'd overpower Meircity in the area where they are strongest (but not as strong as you) even if they predict it correctly, it's a risk i would have taken. the HCA overcomes the difference that will be used in enthusiasm. However, you decided not to use your best attack AND the only way Aurora could win, was if you didn't use your best attack AND she managed to call your bluff. She did both! Hats off to Aurora, but in my book you made the mistake. You gave Aurora a chance to set up a perfect defense against a weakened form of your offense. No matter how you slice it, that wasn't smart...

And to be fair, i was expecting something like this from your team. The entire season you've been changing between so many tactics. Not to mention that you seem to refuse to use your strongest tactic the entire season. You've only gone inside when you thought you really had to (vs BB, vs me and 1 more games, amongst which your first game). That to me shows that you've done gone to such length to hide your strength and weren't willing to use it in the quarters, and probably not even in the semis. Come play off time, you need to dissect your opponent. I'm also somewhat stunned that you didn't predict Meircity going inside.

Either way, Hats off to Aurora for calling your bluff. it shows that she was able to read you like a book. I knew that if there was a chance that you would lose, then it would be before the finals. But i was expecting Insane hangtime to pull off the upset (if it was going to happen). Not the Meircity bears.

You'll learn form this. Joe thought me this lesson long ago in IV :P (yes i played in the same IV as Joe did :P)

Hi all

First off all I would like to state for the record that I am actually male ;) (Aurora is derived from my last name).

I must admit that probably no one was as surprised as I was with the result of the QF. It is true that I somewhat expected the tactics to be what they turned out to be though. And really the only way for me to even have a chance was to go all in on this suspicion and see what happened. Still, I wouldn't have won without a sh*tload of luck. Turned out to be my lucky day!

I dont really have a clearcut path for the future, as real life is starting to catch up with me. Im just happy with being in II. for now and occasionally have some high notes, just like now ;)

But who knows? If I can take down Kikz, EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE (KG voice :D )

Best of luck for everybody still fighting!

Regards
Sven

Despite missing my best C (Serag is injured...) And the fact that Niels armed his SG with a Machete to send JDC to the hospital after a grand total of 38 seconds, i still somehow managed to win this game... And it was a close game too. Props to Bears making my team work for this win!

Well i managed to get to the final (Somehow) and i'm hoping to get 3 games. I'm unsure how things will shape out. A lot will depend on the return of my C Serag. But i am hoping to get 3 games, altho i'm fully aware that Insane might not want to give me 3.

I haven't been very fortunate on the TL either. Struct out on 11 players that i was trying to get :`(

Btw, Gratz to Kiks on pormoting. He is the only 22-0 team, so he's certain to go up.
