Yes, you should bring more money into the game in order to balance out the increased median salaries and restore value in training.

Yes, you should do part of it via merchandising. The current idea seems legit but the percentage needs to be higher imho. Around 20-25% at least. You could think about binding it to the next paid player if the aim is to have superstars dispersed more evenly. The higher the difference - the bigger the bonus.

And yes - you probably should bring a bit more money into the game via the TV contract as well. But definitely you should also increase the salary floors (%) in all divisions. This will achieve two goals at the same time:

1) Will make tanking much less efficient. Competitive teams won't feel it at all.
2) Will virtually give a bit more money to teams in lower divisions (the salary floor is a percentage of TV money - the higher the league level, the bigger the %)

If it helps, it could even have a fixed % over the average of top 2/3 players, as needed I suppose.

I think this is part of the "other" possible changes/means of extra revenue.
Not sure if the "team consolidation" won't do something there already, at least at the lower divisions.
Sounds promissing though I'm sure it's something that has to be tinkered with carefully in order to keep things "balanced", especially with such diversity between countries.

Besides the salary floor, over-extension should be considered, too. Give the bonus only to those who doesn't pay over-extension tax (-bonus). I believe that the arguments to over-extension tax, mostly apply to merchandise bonus as well.

or maybe even just a raise of the salary floors, this can be done this off-season, which means next season the BB managers will already enjoy it.
No, it cannot!!!

F@cking learn to announce changes well in advance, as it was when BB used to be ran by outstanding minds. I have already planned my budget for next season (and acted upon those plans) with the current salary floors in mind. I am sure many others have done so as well.

The 15% bonus can be introduced next season because it is not an expense. Yet I would not do it either 'cause again - planning is involved. I might wanna run a team with one player with a salary right below the salary floor and a bunch of 1k salary guys, just to maximize tanking. For the tenth time - When you introduce changes, you need to give us time to adjust!
