League III.1 Report: Two Teams Remain Perfect, Warriors Stun Gunslingers!

We are six games into Season 70, and the league is starting to take shape. The Mountain Eagles (Big 8) and KDB (Great 8) stand alone as the league's undefeated titans, both boasting perfect 6-0 records.

However, the story of the week was the massive upset in the Big 8, where the previously winless Woodward Avenue Warriors (1-5) stunned the preseason favorite Gunslingers (4-2) in a 124-111 shootout.

Eagles Host Block Party in Rebel Territory, Stay Perfect 6-0!

The Mountain Eagles' perfect run continues! The undefeated leaders rolled into SW Rebels Arena and cruised to a 96-72 victory, moving to 6-0 even while resting star big-man R. Lince!

And what a return for V. Marino! Back from a long-term injury, Marino immediately made his presence felt, exploding for 34 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge.

But the story was the defense. The Eagles put on a 14-shot block party! Center T. Ouellette was a monster inside, posting 13 points, 20 boards, and 3 blocks. J. Westmoreland was a force with 5 blocks and 9 assists, and J. Durant added 23 points.

The Rebels, held to just 25.8% shooting, simply had no answers and fall to 0-6.

Asingratitos BC Survives a 98-96 Thriller!

WOW! Asingratitos BC escaped The Janitor Closet with a heart-stopping 98-96 road victory over Jim Almeidas Janitor Crew in an absolute nail-biter!

Asingratitos relied on a balanced attack to secure the win. A. Santana led the way with a crucial 22-point, 10-rebound double-double. R. Chudyk was the floor general, dropping 20 points and dishing 8 assists, while N. Say yong was a defensive force with 15 points, 10 boards, and 4 blocks!

The Janitor Crew almost pulled off the upset, led by L. Minfu's 24 points and a 19-point, 5-steal effort from M. Knight. K. Martinez was a monster on the glass with 15 rebounds.

The win moves Asingratitos BC to 5-1, while the Janitor Crew drops to 1-5.

Kings Pull Off Stunning Upset Over SPIRITS!

UNBELIEVABLE! In one of the shockers of the night, the Social Security Kings, playing at a lower effort level, stunned AMC SPIRITS in a 122-118 overtime thriller! The 20,201 fans at Marathon Arena witnessed a classic!

The star of the show was Kings center H. Charles, who delivered a massive double-double with 8 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists! G. Hartman was unconscious, pouring in 37 points, while K. Hoskins was hyper-efficient with 20 points (10-14 FG).

The SPIRITS, despite playing harder and getting a matching 37 points from C. Monteil, couldn't overcome the Kings' magic. What a win! The Kings improve to 4-2, while the SPIRITS drop to 3-3.

Jazz Out-Duels Gunners in 3-Point Barrage! 🎯

Forza Jazz defended their home court, the JJ Apps Arena, in a crucial televised league game, defeating the Green Bay Gunners 109-97. In front of 19,060 fans, the Jazz offense was clicking, overcoming a higher-effort performance from the visiting Gunners.

The difference was clear from beyond the arc: Forza Jazz was red hot, draining 11 threes (44%), while the Gunners went ice cold (4-18, 22%). F. León was unstoppable, torching the Gunners for 34 points, including 5 threes. While León handled the scoring, T. Goldstein owned the glass, ripping down a phenomenal 18 rebounds and dishing 6 assists. D. Neal and J. Fournier added 19 points apiece in the winning effort.

The loss is a tough one for the Gunners, who played with higher effort but couldn't buy a shot from deep. Their stars showed up: M. Bin-Sulayman posted a 20-point, 12-rebound double-double, and M. Jackson added a 19-point, 10-assist double-double. W. Shou Mei also had a strong all-around game (18 pts, 8 reb, 5 ast), but it wasn't enough to overcome the Jazz's superior shooting.

The win moves Forza Jazz to a solid 4-2, keeping them in the hunt in the Great 8. The Gunners fall to 3-3.

Globo Gym Puts on a CLINIC! 31 Assists, 13 Blocks in Rout of Cardinals

Globo Gym bounced back in a huge way, blowing the doors off the visiting Fondy Cardinals with a 104-78 victory. The 18,610 home fans witnessed a masterclass in team basketball, as Globo Gym won this game while playing at a lower effort level than their opponents.

The game was won in a jaw-dropping second quarter where Globo Gym exploded for 37 points, turning a close game into a 60-35 halftime laugher.

It was a total team effort for the home squad, who dished out an incredible 31 assists on 40 made baskets. The defense was just as dominant, registering a 13-block party! C. Cutler and A. Kisos were defensive anchors, each swatting 5 shots. Kisos also added 7 assists and 8 rebounds in a fantastic all-around game.

The scoring was perfectly balanced, with five players hitting double figures:

L. Dingfu: 18 pts, 5 reb

B. Salgado: 16 pts, 4 reb

C. Debackere: 15 pts, 9 reb, 3 ast (in 48 minutes!)

F. Prestidge: 15 pts (5-7 FG)

B. Law: 14 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast

The Cardinals were simply ice-cold from the field (35.5%) and abysmal from deep (2-for-14). M. Grebičević led his team with 17 points and 6 assists, but it wasn't nearly enough.

Globo Gym evens their record at 3-3, while the Fondy Cardinals continue to slide, falling to 1-5.

Bricklayers Unleash Defensive Onslaught in 60-Point BLOWOUT!

This was a demolition. The Bonham Bricklayers, in front of their home crowd, completely dismantled the Pittsburgh Peacocks in a 114-54 rout.

The Bricklayers put on a defensive clinic, holding the Peacocks to an abysmal 24.4% from the field and forcing 21 turnovers. The home team was a fortress at the rim, racking up 13 blocks and 13 steals.

E. Berman was a monster, posting a 10-point, 16-rebound double-double while adding 4 blocks. J. Gonzáles was right there with him, grabbing 14 rebounds to go with 16 points and 3 blocks.

The offense was just as dominant, led by C. Donnelly's 27 points on 11-14 shooting and K. Al-Hamdan's 22 points and 5 steals. The Bricklayers move to 4-2, while the Peacocks fall to 2-4.

KDB Stays Perfect! Partridge's 26 Rebounds Anchor 101-77 Road Win

KDB's perfect season continues! The league leaders marched into Holliday Gym and dismantled the Broughton Capitals, 101-77, to move to a flawless 6-0.

This win was all about KDB's dominance on the glass. Center W. Partridge was an absolute monster, pulling down an incredible 26 rebounds (6 offensive!) to go with 9 points and 3 blocks. His frontcourt partner, Y. Heinke, handled the scoring, torching the Capitals for 28 points (12-20 FG), 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Even more impressive? KDB secured this 24-point road win despite the Capitals playing at a higher effort level.

The Capitals just couldn't match KDB's size or shooting. While KDB's F. Jiafan (21 points) and W. Bangcheng (19 points in 14 minutes) added to the offensive barrage, the Capitals struggled, shooting a frigid 18.2% (4-for-22) from three-point land.

N. Burkett led the home team with 26 points and 8 rebounds in the losing effort. The Capitals fall to 1-5.

STUNNER! Kirkland's 49-Point Explosion Leads Winless Warriors Past Favorite Gunslingers!

UPSET OF THE SEASON! In the most shocking result of the year, the previously winless Woodward Avenue Warriors (0-5) defended their home court and stunned the preseason league favorite Gunslingers, 124-111. A capacity crowd of 19,999 at the M-1 Superdome witnessed their team get its first win in spectacular fashion.

The Warriors, who played at the same effort level as their highly-favored opponent, won this game with a blistering offensive display and a dominant third quarter where they outscored the Gunslingers 36-20.

The story was G. Kirkland. The Warriors' small forward was simply transcendent, erupting for a season-high 49 points (18-31 FG), 10 rebounds, and 7 assists in a legendary performance. The entire team was on fire, shooting a scorching 57.9% (11-for-19) from three-point range. M. Senghor added 17 points on 5-for-8 shooting, while Y. Diarra chipped in 15 points and 8 boards.

The high-powered Gunslingers' offense showed up, but their defense did not. M. Vasil (30 points) and T. Wirayuda (27 points, 6 assists) were fantastic, and M. Macolino notched a bizarre near triple-double with 6 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. Despite dishing out 32 assists, the Gunslingers had no answer for Kirkland and couldn't overcome the Warriors' red-hot shooting.

The Warriors get their first joyful win of the season, moving to 1-5. The stunned Gunslingers are dealt their second loss, falling to 4-2.
