Being an inside trainer and having watched over 50 games (I know, sad) I think IS affects only shots inside the paint and close to it.

Anything outside is probably not effected by IS.

My belief is:

-jump shot is for outside shooting only. It has no bearing on inside shots.
-driving is the most important skill for inside shots, unless the player received a good pass to make him open
-after that, it is inside shot vs inside d

It is usually pretty clear in the match report if it is a jump shot or inside shot. At least, that's what I thought. For example, things like dunks or if it says "player X goes for a powerful inside shot". Although, I'm no expert in the ME so if you know something please share.

You could have a jump shot pretty near the basket. Is uit an outside shooting then?
