What about creating an official offline tool for bb and putting it in pc magazines worldwide, maybe with a link to a video tutorial of the game in it?I this tutorial could be a fictional team, were all first steps are explaned. The usage is maybe limited for non supporter.

And maybe a code in it, that you can be supporter for 30 or 60 days after at least one month playing it.

next to the tutorial link maybe links to other helpers like buzzer control (or my foxyBB) to make it easier for newbees to understand the game. I think this is the biggest problem. I registrated at ballersunited, but after 5min I quited. It was too complicated, and here its the same. A friend of mine still needs advice from me after over one year...

edit: I think you would find people that would create the tutorial for a small gift like 3months supporter or so. But it would be important that its not a worldwild competition. I wouldn't do it having 10000 competitors. Maybe anyone could offer a concept and 10 will be chosen to make it. The winner gets the gift.

Get the new spread everyone!

I talk about BB as much as I can, I´ve brought to this game more than 10 players, and 6 of them are currently Supporter.

This should give me some discount in my supporter :P

If I were a BB developer, I´d try to make a deal with RealGM, and some important websites from USA (I think is the country who has more possibilities to bring new players). And as I could guees with local publications.

In a second level I´d try to contact every country´s leaders in basketball fields like could be in Europe (Euroleague) or in Spain ACB or Gigantes ("Giants" the most important basketball magazine) to know their pretentions. Appointing intermediaries to reach an agreement.

This could sound inaccessible, but who knows, ask for this stuff it´s for free :)

I have made a REALY big artical about BB in some forums in my country,
A few signed up, and i hope that more will sign up in the future from that.

What about making a Facebook group? that's a big media for sure ;p

EDIT: A quick search on Facebook showed that there already are a couple of BB groups, but they are really small.

This is the "official" group.

Then I think it would be great if it was updated from time to time. Facebook is a big medium nowadays. And it's FREE advertizing! ;) (except from the actual ads that is). Just something to make the "buzz" going. Some suggestions:

1. Maybe a "Manager of the Month" interview with a random manager who is willing to answer some questions and say why he/she loves the game. Then that manager would probaly promote actively to all his friends. Even his BB friends will probably promote.

2. A new fancy logo with some player faces on.
Perhaps a job for the logo federation if provided with the correct color codes.

3. More screenshots with a more thorough explanation of each function, in an advertise kind of lingo. "Induct your favorite Stars into the clubs own Hall of Fame!" (ehrm.. that's supporter right?) or "Thrash talk your opponents into fielding the wrong tactic!" or "Can you field the next Michael Jordan or will you end up with a stall of Shaq's?" (no offense, I don't really know that much about basketball, just picked up some things on the forum.. heheh).

4. A Basketball References Thread where we could post our favorite moments in popular culture. f.ex: "Swedish Chef - Chicki in de basket", 03:41 in Disney's "Woodland Cafe", "monkey playing basketball" and on and on...

5. Better tags for when you reference to BB in your wall or status report. The ones that are now is just face outline, just hair, just background. Either a BBlogo or a complete face would do. The best would have to be one of your own players so pople could say things like:

"Check out Hans Holm, the best player in my BuzzerBeater team. He just made the National Team! Register today, play within 2 days in the best free online managergame ever. It is free, and buying supporter doesn't support buying success (It just gives you the possibility to have your own banner, logo, press releases and some presentational shortcuts). When you gotta earn it, it tastes even sweeter! Find your own playing style! Go Your Own Way!"

With a picture of him ;D ...but anything would be better than what is now.

This was just a few ideas from the top of my head, but if we work together on facebook We could make this happen. We really could. I know I would love to. At the moment I am afraid my account will be canceled if I continue spamming my own facebook wall ;P
