Yes, thanks for pointing this out Holtz...it is my problem in a few hours!

It is very hard to know were to target Crocs as they have 6 players (from memory) who score over 12 ppg or thereabouts.

When Crocs only had Fromista, I fancied my chances, as I have good big men. BUT since the new purchase his 2 bigs will nullify my two gun bigs, and then I can't bridge the mcnamara gap with only a 35K PG and no back up.

The only thing that may help me is playing CT - I did this last season with crocs and only lost by 7 with my top scorer injured. He will want to preserve himself for you, so that could be a BIG risk (Hi Crocs!). mind you, i have 2 guys in only respectable game shape which doesn't help...i refuse to train game shape unless I am a massive show...maybe in 2 seasons...

good luck all!!

Believe it or not I have never trained game shape, haven't ever put a whole lot of thought towards it in my planning for the season playoffs, I just try to control the game time my players get. Everyone has been going on about gameshape this season, what is the top gameshape? What should I be aiming at for my players. All are currently strong game shape expect 3 who are proficient game shape (I think it is proficient).

Is this low, OK or too high?

I am serious by the way, never thought much about game shape.

Good luck all, and Greeno I hope you know Steve Crocs off playing CT, no hidden agendas I promise :P

hi Holtz - thanks for the wishes! me too. :)

I am surprised you don't monitor game shape more, having been to the playoffs many times. iIt just means that your players won't rate as highly - they will be a bit less effective. Now it often doesn't matter, but come playoff time i think it does and I have seen it be a factor in games.

tonight, i expect less return from a couple of my guys due to game shape being only respectable.

I know some people who train game shape just around playoff time - you're right, proficient is the highest level it can get to. It is only worth training if your weekly minutes are stuffed really, but can be helpful in the big one. Mind you, so can some training pops!!

good luck. we will all be watching!!

the relegation games should be crackers too everyone - don't forget these!

I know it sounds wierd, but I very rarely get my players playing over 70 minutes a week. I guess that this has just meant my players end up as strong in the playoffs. I can't remember my players not being strong or proficientin the playoffs. So I guess by mistake I have been managing my game time for the players OK.

Congrats on the season that just ended for Yarra Park and Battlers, Slammers and Razzle.

2 very tough games coming up. When it is all said and done either of the last 4 teams left have a good shot. Downtown had a big scare and will go all out next game, as expected.

Big games for the chance to play for a position in ABBL.

well done everyone and good luck to everyone but koop and meaty

meaty doesnt need it

and koop, you know why

as for me, after the disapointment of missing out by 6 points on the playoffs - (and a brutal flogging by koop) i am already taking the steps needed to be more competitive next season

just sold one of my trainees so got a lot of cash to buy a second d2 standard big man

mind you i also sold a 20k salary big man with sensational id, ok he is 34 but i got only 40k for him, what is up with the market?

when i was in d3 i would have gladly paid 800k for a guy like that to get me to the next level
