Looking through the posts my new suggestion would be:
a) Merge all teams into different new leagues based on number of users in the approx timezone. It may be a lot of leagues in some zones. How many teams in each league, I don't know. Enough to fill at least 4 divisions, maybe 5. Each new team signing up would join the closest time sone group with fewest teams. This would make it more foreseeable to predict if more leagues would have to be added. Put players in divisions based on their world rank. After some seasons adjustment time, teams should start to end up in the division that corresponds to their skill level via promotions/relegations.
b) Let everyone keep their flag, and keep the national forums and NTs.
c) Draft works as it does now, attributes, age height, scout reports. But the player name and flag gets generated after the pick, defaulting to the team that drafts them. So if I am in a division with random nationalities within my approx time sone, all my draft picks would be norwegian because my team is norwegian. We would get the same amount of active players into the game, but there would be fewer bot teams, and they would not have a specific flag anyway. Like it is now in Norway, the only ones that get a chance at an early draftpick are the bottom teams i BLNO (div 1). A supermerge would give us equal chance as any team, since we would get competition and a real chance at promotion/relegation. If you try playing in a small nation, you would quickly get bored. What good is money, when you have no competition to use it for? I am too old to play a game for tanking.
d) Make all players in a nation easily searchable for the NT/U21, draft players from all leagues with that nationality, and players that gets generated when a new team signs up.
This gives everyone competition. Everyone can still be active in the same communities for different countries that we have now. There would be new forums for each league, and our current div forums could be replaced with new ones in the new divisions.
This way all nations, micro and macro, are at the same level. Everyone have to mix. Everyone compromises. Win-win or lose-lose.
