Thanks everyone for the consolation!

@Fresh24: I think I'd have also lost with Gavrilovic. He's not a good player for outside attacks and this is why I decided to make the move of swapping him with Hajri, looking to be able to play really strong (and surprising) outside attacks in the key moment of the season.

It was supposed to be a very interesting final, where Bigshoes was slightly favourite but I wasn't too far. I went for the 3-2 + LI GDPs looking for a scenario where I thought I would be around 90-10 against LI, 60-40 against Move the Ball, and pretty even against LP. Any other offense he chose (except RnG) was definitely an easy win for him. Unfortunately, the early injury killed the game and nobody knows what would have happened without it (perhaps BB-Justin does, would it be possible to share here the % of simulations that each team would have won?).

I prefer not to bore anyone with my countless list of disgraces in the form of injuries with a level 6 doctor, but I'll just say that Bigshoes is a fair winner. His roster is unbelievable and he's managed to beat all the best teams in the world.

With this game, my second Utopia+Spain project comes to an end. The first project ended up with 2 BBB titles. This time, in the 7 seasons fighting for BBB with the 2 teams, I've reached (and lost!) 4 BBB finals. Who can improve this? Now it's time to have a break, which is VERY necessary as I've spent quite a lot of time on this during 2 years of real life.

Viva BB and FIRE YOUR DOCTORS!

In this game early injury is big problem, but very often it is not the biggest problem in that game. Bigger problem may be exhaustion as a result of early injury. So 2 big problems from one injury... It is not fair.

As much as I agree it’s terrible luck to get an injury in a final, it’s the risk managers take when fielding short rosters. We can’t suddenly make exhaustion non-applicable in finals because it doesn’t combat the problem of teams running 7 players and BB has made all managers aware of their desires to stop this. Risk vs reward.

That being said, commiserations to Darkonako on your loss. You’ve done an amazing job in reaching four finals and I’m sure you’ll be back again in the future to challenge for more.

Congratulations to Big Shoes, amazing work to become the first manager from Hong Kong to win B3!

85% for Bigshoes

It's unfortunate that it wasn't a better game to watch though. Being almost certain of the result after 2 minutes isn't very fun.

Thanks for the info, buddy! It doesn't feel that bitter now.

Anyway, as far as I like that injuries happen, some efforts could be put into how the doctors impact the probability of these (for example through more effective taping, as someone suggested in other thread). It feels that the difference from having a lvl 2 or lvl 6 doctor is almost non significant.

* NOTE: Previous B3 Champions must have a world rank of less than 500 at the beginning of the season to qualify.

I have a question. My word rank was 471 yesterday. Today my wr is 567. Does my team qualify for B3 ?
