If that is the case I am proud of him. TIE deals for me are unsportsmanlike, and if someone would suggest a TIE deal to me I would either not reply to it or more likely accept it and not give a damn about it.

Yes, I admit that braking deal is not nice, but if someone is suggesting a TIE deal that peron has set the playing field, and deserve to get hit back.

Bra svarat och helt rätt gjort. Jag ogillar TIE-deals stort. Tyvärr kommer det fortsätta att förekomma så länge idiotsystemet med TIE/normal/CT finns kvar.

I am to reply to you once; I dont want to end it into a dirt fight.

1. I am not fond of MUTUAL TIES either. This is the first one I proposed and thought it would be a good deal for both of us since we want to qualify. We had a long internal discussion of playing normal or TIE. But we thought to make it easier we we just both TIE and focus on the future games..

2. OFFICIALLY BB stands it is not cheating by setting MUTUAL TIES. I am against it; but BB seem to have called it not cheating.

3. SVERIGE coach said I had the IDEA of an agreement: but if you read ENGLISH well :
hmm so we both goinna take take it easy on monday, I guess I need enthusiasm
This will be interpreted as a agreement. You may choose not to react or you can simply say "no I dont want to have a TIE." But saying that you WILL and not respect it and even CT.. Thats another way to go of course..:D

4. I dont have any grudge against the coach, in a way I kind of knew he was not to be trusted. And also it all part of the BB game at this moment. To manage and utilize the enthusiasm.

In any way; me as coach of NEDERLAND would like to wish you all the best in the future games.

Rijswijker.

yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the "present."

Det känns som om vi behöver lite skandaler för att det ska bli intressant. Kör hårt med sådant längre fram också :P

In my opinion it was very clever by the swedish coach then. Obviously he wanted you to believe that he agreed, but he actually did not say that he did. Exactly the treatment a proposal for a mutual TIE should recieve in my opinion.

I know it is not against the rules, just as what he did isn't, but still I think it is unsportsmanlike and deserves the same kind of treatment back. In this case you won anyway, so lucky for you.

Plaese don't be upset the times when someone brakes a mutual TIE (in this case hhe did not even brake it as he had not agreed on it he just fooled you). I understand that it is annoying, but if you play the "mutual-TIE" game than you should expect the same kind of methods used against you (as long as the methods are within the rules).

Good luck in the future!

lol you lower yourself even below the level of teams who use mutual TIE.

If you got an offer and you hate mutual TIEs, just reply that you won't give an answer because you dont do mutual TIEs or don't reply at all. Instead of replying that "we both would play TIE then" and then play CT.

Lets say this is the rank:

1) Teams who play without mutual TIEs.
2) Teams who accept mutual TIEs
3) Teams who propose mutual TIEs
.....

10^38) Teams who accept mutual TIEs with the intention to play CT.

It's the same as murder and premeditation. Murder will get you 30 years prison, premeditation will get you life long. (oh yeah don't take this tooo serious.)

PS: You need to understand that we are having great fun now, we still won while we played with TIE vs a CT, so that's even better than winning a TIE vs TIE game.

For me the "mutual-TIE" shows how he wants to play the game and then I will treat him accordingly. If someone treats be unsportsmanlike I will do the same to them as that's what I need to do not to given them a longterm benefit. I would not like to do it, but out of two bad options I would choose that one.

Basically we have quite diffent opinions on the "rank" and we are both entitled to have this of course (even though I really hope and believe that you are exagerating your point a lot).

However having different opinions does not mean that things like that written by LA-3point king in (5440.163) should be written. Idenpendently of difference in opinions you should try to treat others with respect. Therefore I really think that LA-3point king owes Pajjan an appologie.

You don't think you're exaggerating a bit? I know what I did was low but so was the mail Risjwijker sent me.

The National Team of Netherlands is a better team, with better players, that's nothing I can control. My chance to win was to get superior tactics (such as motion against a 2-3 zone) and to crunch time, against what I thought would be a normally enthusiastic Netherlands.

And since I know I got no chance at all beating Germany I had to beat both netherlands and slovakia, it's strange Rijswijker didn't figure. So when he proposed we both would TIE I just fooled him a little, it was low but it increased my only shot at getting one of the top 2 spots in the group.

Too bad it didn't go my way, now I'll be playing scrimmages the rest of my time as NT coach.

Maybe in your culture you can't take 'dark' humor. It is quite common in the Netherlands. If you think I said any of that to really hurt someones feelings, you are utterly mistaken. Lighten up, it was just a joke.

Well in most countries, and I travelled a lot and lived in a few different countries (including Holland a few times), you can do that kind of statements to people you know well and in forums/places where you are known well. Otherwise you simply don't do it, beacuse they simply wont be interpreted as a joke. So yes, I still think you owe him an appologie.

Na Rijswijker did figure it out, but he still took the risk. He suspected something.

I do think your conclusion is good, Germany is unbeatable for most of us, so yes a TIE would be weird from your side. I completely understand your thoughts and I completely understand your decision of playing CT. I would have done exactly the same thing if I were in your situation.

But I wouldn't have send that BBmail which you send back. I wouldn't have responded at all, or I would have said that I didn't do mutual TIEs. That's the only difference.

I don't mean to accuse anybody of anything, I do understand your thoughts about playing CT there, and they are completely logic. I think you are a good manager, but I think the mutual TIE move wasn't right.

@chesperitos: I can't control what others say, he may say what he wants, wether I find it fair or not, I can't do anything about it. Calling someone a cheater might be exaggerated, but since I didn't say it I don't really mind.
I do know that you do want lower yourself to a level you disgust, which is pretty strange if you ask me. But that's just 2 different personalia's, some do, some don't.

GL all of you. I would like to close this subject. I've said enough, and I think everyone has. I'm happy we won, but what happened happened. We can't change it anymore.

Cheers!
