I completely agree with you !!
For instance, i also play a management soccer game, called Hattrick, and there it is far too easy to make money through transfers. And so you have a lot of players, who make a lot of money this way, and thanks to this money they can buy themselves a great team. This is not fair to all the other players who don't have all day to check the transfer market, and continously buy and sell players.
I also think a manager game is not made for this, and has to concentrate on the game itself, not on the transfer market. That is why i like Buzzerbeater much better than hattrick, all players have equal chances and the players that decide to make a lot of money through trading on the transfer market will have a difficult time doing so, and that's how it ought to be. Because otherwise, you would only have a good team if you do a lot of trading on the transfer market. Thank God, Buzzerbeater is not such a game.
In fact Buzzerbeater is by far the best management game i have found so far on the internet ! And I have allready tried many management games.
So keep up the good work, BB crew ! You are simply the best !

grtz,
Eagle

I have a revolutionary suggestion. Taxing for each player put on the transfer list, no matter if he was bought by another team. So there is always a risk of losing money in asking an extremely high price for a player that will stay in the team. Taxing in such way will destroy a daytrading, since trying to sell a new bought player will cost about 20% of the asked price. IMO, fair enough, almost no more GM-cops needed, etc. I know that there should be consequences of such a dramatic novation, but I think it`s worth it.

there really is an easy system that someone had already suggested which is a minimum contract

i think in the nba there is a minimum 10 day contract if bb had that or even a 20 day minimum contract actual day trading as such would be dead but signing someone up for a few weeks training them and then selling them at a profit would still be fine

your system has a lot weaknesses, because this punish people who ask for a real price also very hard, and especially whn you aren't online on primetime to sell player*, player for normal pirces are often not selled.
Also it leads to low starting bids, and those prices normally get raised to the normal price in the last ten minutes, but the servers aren't stable and if they are unstable you sell your player for a below minimum price - thats why it is necessary to start with normal prices and also wished by the BB.

* if they go on list for 1$, often day trader bid on then to get then cheap, and aren't there two intrested players online who are willing to pay a normal price the players goes very cheap and this will also lead to daytrading and not to avid it ;)

One good idea from Hattrick is that previous team and formation team receives a percentage from the sale of players.

This will not take the advantege of day trading but at least will penalise less the players that are selling players during the day.

If anyone wants evidence of someone cheating check this out, I was looking at my players values and noticed:

"There have been 68 recent transfers of 31-32 year old power forwards with respectable inside defense and any potential. Of these, the ones with skills most similar to Len Love have been selling for around $ 60 000 to $ 10 600 000."

While I like Len and he is an ok DIV 4 backup player there is no universe in which he or a similar player is a $10,000,000 player or even a $1,000,000 player or even a $200,000 player. Len is nice but his best skill is respectable and he is 32 so $60,000 is about right.

So someone, somewhere has transferred $10,000,000. Is that allowed? I hope the BBs can investigate this.

It was someone definitely cheating. It is not allowed. Chances are the BBs have already seen and dealt with this, however people that cheat still affect the TPE, even if they are punished. So it will appear like that for a little while, and then it will go back to normal soon. Cheers for pointing it out though :)

Yes they have, really. The GM's name is Lord of Doom.

I don't really care what anyone else says to me. He said I have to do this so I will report every single transfer.

Did you ever consider not being a day trader and just playing the game without feeling the need to buy and sell players like this was some sort of stock market game?
