The maximum is 18. To remove someone from the roster it would cost enthusiasm.

As you know, at the age of 18 the differences between the players aren't as big as in the 21-year players. Wouldn't it difficult your job?

nope it wouldnt be difficult.

in the NT debate thread just a few above this post that I am replying to, some off the very active and most knowledgeable english coaches agreed that there are 3 perhaps 4 good trainees in this seasons draft, players that we would consider training. this is just not my opinion. So as I am sure you can agree that is not alot to choose from... So it would be an easy job...

woah, woah, I'm sure there are more than that - just only that number on the transfer list.

As I thought. It's not because the country is inactive that the players will not appear.

@ Astragoth-I think you will need to answer me again

ah yeah that is what I ment... there are more, I am tired and I am not thinking straight :) I had about 15 on my bookmarks the other day, after scouting top league and 2nd divisions, so I guess with the 3rd divisions mostly having active teams this would be about 45 possible candidates. I am sure we can find the best 3 to 5 from that once we have a better overview as to what is available to us in this seasons draft

But as I said, the splayers are not that different at the 18 years. And maybe a player who's weaker now, because of his heigh, he will be better at 21

i think this is very obvious and me as a coach playing for 6 seasons now, knows this. so what is it that you really are trying to say with this?

secondly i have asked you now many times, what criteria would you use to select your U21 players?

All these guys are now 22 - so this is a typical pool of 18yr olds, I'd suggest. Actually, it should be quite a bit stronger nowadays considering how many new coaches we have...

I know you know this. I'm just asking you how would you choose them. You want to choose 5 players from 50. How would you do that. I mentioned some ways you could choose, but you didn't said wich would you choose.

For me, the most important thing in the U21 team would be if the players are being trained. As I said before, an above-average player, if not being trained, will be worse than an average player at the middle of the season. So this would be the first priority. Then, I would choose the ones wich I can be sure that they will keep their shape high. Because good player with low gameshape, is like a normal player with good game shape. After this, I would look at the skills. I would select balanced players, because theese can be used during all season, and maybe save a spot for a monoskill, if he could help us in a game that we had to win. But,as we don't have that need, monoskills are not needed.

I think that this are the main things in a U21 NT and if you don't agree, tell me how would you answer this question you've made me

A lively debate.

I commend your stance and application and honestly feel that you would be the right candidate.

Even though I am English, I burnt my bridges with the community a few seasons back when debating - maybe it was my tone/directness, but almost certainly being an outsider had something to do with it. (how can someone from outside of England possibly do a better job/how can we trust them!)

Now its ironic that within the first page of this thread there is a display of obvious internal paranoia about a fellow english coach having access to skills of rival EBBL managers players. *Amazing as this was a situation afforded to Elmacca and in regular season finished behind 2 teams that started BB after him last season with his 'extra knowledge'.

Quite honestly this is ludicris. Surely you have more important concerns than being worried about whether someone can see if one of your bench players has Strong ID as opposed to Resp/average?!

You then have a Astrogoth throwing his name in the ring (and confessing he doesnt really want the job) Captain Falafel (class name!) then making a speech without even realising Astrogoth is standing for the position....

I sincerely hope that the precious few in this community do see past your country of domicile and vote for you. I believe if you are true to your word and upcoming managers listen to you that England could have a half decent roster of players in 3-4 seasons from now.

Good luck.
