The last week of the season is the time. Except for teams in the finals everyone can run out their best lineup. That is when there could be a true test.

i was genuinely concerned about playing you on the road! wasnt sure how it was gonna work out... any win on the road is a good win, especially against the CT!

pretty lucky to get a win tonight. Only just set a lineup.

was driving home to Gisborne from Geelong, usually about 1 hr 30 min trip, left at 3.50 so thought yeh i will certainly be home to set a lineup.

halfway home my car decides to shit itself and start pumping steam/smoke out of it. i try filling the water and letting it cool down. I resume my journey but i have been delayed and it is unlikely i will get home in time to set a lineup, thus i use my dwindling phone battery to set my lineup. The phone then dies, while logging out.

just my luck my car shits itself again 15 mins later, however this time it wont restart. i know, i will call someone to help (as i am not much of a mechanic). But, i used the battery setting my BB lineup. At this point it is dark and i have to go knocking on randoms doors, where it is about 1km between houses. Turns out people arent really receptive of young people knocking on their doors at night. Anyway 3 and a half hours later i am finally towed home.

come to think of it i am pretty lucky i even got home, let alone set a lineup lol

I was in gisborne the other day... you are prolly better off not getting home :D say hi to Kezza for me :P

@noidya OUCH! that CT against the dreamers REALLY hurt.. 2 losses out of it... Never EVER CT in the regular season.. that is my rule, and is pretty much unbreakable.

it didnt help that i didnt play my SG.. oh wells it was well worth it and i am sure 4th place on our side should be secure lol

though it will be the last time i'll CT in the regular season......... maybe lol

Never EVER CT in the regular season.. that is my rule, and is pretty much unbreakable.


Could have done with that pearl of wisdom before tonight's game, Skyhooks! Seriously though, I have always held that as a rule...one I broke tonight only on account of the BOT race. Was faced with playing the 15-0 Flames on their home court who would have had slightly higher enthusiasm from their Cup run. Had to do it. Was up by 26 at the end of the third and the bench held them to draw in the fourth. It's surprising what you'll do when the stakes are high.

BTW, it means I've just handed you the win in our game in PL. Enjoy.

Congrats on your mauling tonight. Probably put you into 3rd in "the race".

I do not agree. You can CT in the regular season. But you must time it correctly

i am sure you will spank us matty, all the other contenders in div 3 in the PL have....

CT has a place bains for sure.. but i just think if you manage game shape, enth right, and have the right team, you shouldnt need to use it to win.. If i were playing the top team in the other div, and then had 3 scrub teams afterwards to recover, then sure i would look at the bigger picture, but for the most part, Normal/Tie is as good as it gets :D

My last 7 games are gonna be tough.. 4 on road, 3 at home, gonna be VERY difficult to manage enth...

What are your long term plans airwik? get a few more trainees going then have a crack?

yeah gonna be quite a few more long seasons before i have serious chance in this league lol i enjoy training youngsters rather buying a team (besides for my SG) so might take awhile lol

but yeah enjoying this league so no need to rush lol
