Thank you guys for testing and reporting, these reports are great.
While karangula has some very promising results, the brambauti's problem shows that the "feature" is still not ready. However, it is encouraging to see that the code does "kick in" at appropriate times, even if it doesn't really do what it's supposed to successfully. Seems like that is the problem that needs fixing.

It would help to have more testers and more reports, testing only the blank lineups from now on. My everlasting thanks goes to karagula and brambauti for their efforts which puts us one step closer to the implementation of the code.

How big are chances LCD will not exist in this season? It is possible? Or we will play with LCD one season more? Make it clear please. I don't know what to do now. Do something changes or wait.
@kozlik4: It is impossible to predict when it will be implemented, while testing is underway. Depending on the testing results, the decision to implement will be made. I guess what I'm saying is: watch this thread and you'll probably see when it will be done. Also, to help speed up the process, test and report yourself, or even better, get others to do it too.

I used blank in my PL tonight.. Lost by 2 points.. but its usual..
PG Gagys 48
SG Angel 40 Brimeris 8
SF Urbanovilius 41 Posecnas 7
PF Lyubarov 48
C Maldunas 39 Milieska 9
I think it was ok.. Usually BL selects Gagys to play at sg, and Angel at PG.. Because of the lack of back-up sf in my team Posecnas was used as sf.. For me, he is more like pf, but my sf has comparatively low stamina, so he had to be substituted.. So, for my understanding, everything went fine..

LCD, blank lineup, (78509587)

POS Starting-Five (mins)
PG G. Sutherland (36)
SG B. Penkov (19, had to leave injured)
SF G. Walsh (28)
PF G. Marasco (35)
C P. Buchwald (29)

Backups:
PG - R. Bollert (12)
SG - J. Zozaya (29)
SF - I. Nikifarau (20)
PF - V. Skoropad (13)
C - S. Moffett (19)

I would have chosen a different starting SF and backup-PF. The game was a blowout win. Minutes looked good, though.

-------

1st team: LCD, blank lineup, (78440066)

POS Starting-Five (mins)
PG R. Geugelin (45)
SG H. Brockmann (36)
SF G. Quellmelz (48)
PF T. Harjans (46)
C T. Nürnberg (37)

Backups:
PG - R. Krispl (3)
SG - A. Stoebner (12)
SF - noone
PF - F. Wildenhain (2)
C - J. Poellnitz (11)

We lost this game against a way better opponent. The only two backups who are good enough to play got more than some seconds here and there (Poellnitz, Stoebner). The rest sat out most of the game. Poellnitz (PF) and Stoebner (PG) could have played different positions, too, but as far as I remember, they didn't. No problems on my side here.

These are some encouraging results. However, we still need to test more thoroughly and I'm not completely happy with the substitution minutes in some cases (especially when a starter plays 48 minutes when there are some free backups available. Good work, guys, thanks, and keep it up.

Good news everyone!

I've made some improvements to the BL prevention code and the way it fills the depth chart. It should now make more sense (hopefully) and should, in theory, distribute minutes more evenly. Can't wait to see the test results this Friday!

I made a test today with both teams. I only set 2 positions and let empty the other ones.

The results in game have been strange.

Test 1:

Line-up set: (http://i.imgur.com/PzzvJXM.png)

Result: (78509645)

Comment: Diankha (SF starter) played 39 minutes as SF. Logical. Kukcikaitis (PG starter) played 36 minutes as SG. Wrong position. The 2 subs didn't play in the position set (maybe a few minutes, I didn't watch the full game) but they played as subs (they are actually ugly)

Test 2:

Line-up set: (http://i.imgur.com/iUHoXfN.png)

Result: (78529440)

Comment: Said (C starter) played 40 minutes as C. Logical. Cazacu (PF starter) played 39 minutes as SF. Wrong position. Todorovski (PF sub) played 35 minutes as PF starter. Wrong. Todorovski has an enough level to be starter imo. Touris (C sub) played 8 minutes as C sub. Logical. Touris is not a very good player.

Hope it can help.

As I remember Marin said before that BL prevention code kicks in when there are less than 3 positions set. So I believe that your results are actually right - BL prevention code cleaned your line-up (because only 2 positions where set) and treat it like it was totally blank. That is why Kukcikaitis (PG starter) played 36 minutes as SG - because he was picked to be SG by the BL prevention code. Same thing with Todorovski. Everything looks good now.

Are there results how it works when only 3 positions are set and 2 are left blank?

Well, I actually saw that Marin planned the cleaning for less than 2 positions set.

This feature will only be used when none or just one starter is set.

That's why I made this test, maybe Marin changed the rule and I didn't see it.

I'll test with 3 positions set next friday (or 2 again, actually I can do whatever Marin wants)
