so we should have 1 thread solely of this topic............I guessing if you choose this one, you're closing the suggestion one, and if you choose the suggestion one, you're closing this one's thread right???

I think the discussion is starting to expire. Without input from the BBs, there isn't much point to continue, as we don't know what is and isn't possible. I'm fairly sure they will have picked up some good ideas from here and the other discussion thread, if not having worked them out already.

I think something will be done. It'll maybe just take some time to test and refine.

The question is; WHEN? WIll it be in 3 seasons? 4 Seasons? 5? More???????? I think they will do something too. We don't know if some managers will like the idea though. I have a good feeling that a BB is gonna inform us about tanking in about week...................hopefully.

Wait!!!!!!!!!!! Before this thread gets done, I just found one more suggestion, when I was thinking of another sim I play; Sponsors. Let's say there are 4 sponsers for each divisions, 4 for D5, 4 for D4, 4 for D3, 4 for D2, and 4 more sponsers for D1. Those sponsors can only be in that particular D#. So if a sponser sponsers for D3, they have to stay in D3. Same for the other D#'s. Now, let's discuss the $$$. Let's say there's a start of the season, like now, so a team in D5 is 4-0, so then theres the sponser, they'll give him 60k per week (60k adds up after a few weeks) and then there's a 0-4 team, the sponser gives them 10k per week. The amount of $$$ the sponser gives is determined by the record. Better record you got, the more $$$ you get. I have this basis set up I think for the sponsers when the ew season starts or a ""average"" income/$$$ given
D5- when season starts, average $$$ is 40k.
D4- when season starts, average $$$ is 65k
D3- when season starts, average $$$ is 90k
D2-when season starts, average $$$ is 150k
D1- when season starts, average $$$ is 250k

Then, when you win, it adds, when you lose, it drops. Then as your record gets better/worse, you'll get $$$ (less or more) based on it. But it can't go under the Sponser Floor, or can't get over the Sponser cap. Here's my prediction of Floor-Cap
D5-FLoor-15k Cap-75k
D4-Floor-40k Cap-100k
D3-Floor-70k Cap-125k
D2-Floor-120k Cap-225k
D1-FLoor-200k Cap-400k

YOur sponser income decrease/increases as the season goes on. Another thing I would say is an added income. Like for Rival/TV Games/Cup/Playoff. I would do it like this;
D5; +20k
D4; +30k
D3; +40k
D2; +50k
D1; +60k
The bonus for all games

Every club has a sponser they want to choose.
Maybe this would work. Please put your opinions.

I fail to see how this adresses tanking. Plus that's a whole lonof extra mine floating around in everyone's pockets all of a sudden. Who knows what that would do to the economy. I guess giving money to teams doing better would be nice, but I think a recalculation of attendance and maybe moving the transfer deadline would be more effective, and not add a whole new dynamic to BB.

I haven't read all of the posts in the topic so I don't know if this was posted.

I am against tanking and it's in my opinion illogical.

It's obvious that teams basically survive by selling tickets. If a team tanks a game, or two, three in a row, why would anybody in the world buy tickets to see the game that's not even happening? And over and over again. Fans should acknowledge that their team is tanking (by losing games 0-25 or coming out with a way weaker roster than the league's average roster) and simply stop coming to the game. Tanking should be punished, not encouraged.

Totally agree. Fans that gets to see a game against lucky fans should be refunded to in my opinion.

If that woud actually happen to me in real life --and I am not one the lucky fans playing the game-- I would demand more than just to be refunded. I would also demand extra free trickets for future games.

Probably in better seats than my original ticket.

up, if I were a fan of a team, goes to the game ,and sees 2 scrubs in there and the other team with like, 11 players, and they call a forfeit, I'll be like this; %*&$#%^@%( @(^#^$_@$

The signs represents cuss words.

Exactly. That was my point. We can fight tanking with logic.

A team forfeits, fans get furious. Will they show up to the next game? No! Will they ask for their money back? Yes.

Only one forfeit is enough to besmirch a team's whole season.

Here's what I would do about the forfeits?

A home team does it -- no income from tickets sold, attendance drops drastically in the future.

A visiting team does it -- they have to refund the home team's fans from their own pocket. Attendance drops.
