I want to thank you for being the bigger man in these debates as your points and qualifications have been criticized more than anyone, and you have yet to be rude or aggressive/defensive to anyone. You have have answered nearly every question with the professionalism I'd expect from anyone that truly wanted the position.

Having said that the odds seem stacked against you, and I want to encourage you to get involved in the NT or U21 because we could definitely use someone with your ideas and enthusiasm.

Good Luck

We have a lot of great outside shooters. Unfortunately, we play all our games indoors.

Namssor has experience at being a NT manager so it won't be new to him. He was successful at NZ, surely he deserves a chance at USA NT. Jason can wait for now.

Check the Suggestions they are important

Here's my question for the candidates....

We now have an active offsite forum with many options being weighed prior to every game. Ultimately, the decision will come down to the winner of this election. If the entire community is going against your tactical choice(roster, sub patter, tactics all included), will you stick to your guns and push forward anyway?

The NT Management position is very social as well. You will be interacting with the community and trying to grow the community, but you will also be communicating with other NT Coaches. What are your thoughts on mTIEs during the tournaments? Would you be willing to break an agreement and what circumstances would make you consider it? Basically, is winning more important than your reputation?

If I am the NT coach I would listen to everyone's opion, but at the end of the day I am the coach and I am not going to let our team lose to try to keep some people happy for me using their tactics.

I like mTIEs. The only thing is there will be some easy games when we go against bad opponents and you can tie then. No I would not break an agreement if I was not going to do TIE then I would tell them 10 minutes before the game started. :)

1) If Lundy had been walking on the street for days, 3 weeks late for a shower, and STILL not in 9gs, do you offer to pick him up?

2) How far in advance do you think its necessary to game plan when considering call ups and enthusiasm? With a limited roster before it hurts overall enthusiasm, what might your strategy be?

3) What use would you get out of the offsite? Regardless of what you use for it now, what would your plans for the future be?

1. No, I drive past and act like I never saw him.

2. 1 week ahead. For me it would start with player tendencys. First I would look on the NT games to learn if a player was a scorer, rebounder, etc. Then I would go to their league games. I would be looking closely to when the players team won big or lost big. I could see what teams did to stop this player or see what teams did not do. This way I could get the most educated guess on what the players skills were and were I need to attack him at. Next I would study own tactics. I could see my tendencies and think what someone would play against me. This would be helpful as it would show me if I am playing different to the team or if I am set on one tactic and so I could get a guess, but not a educated guess of what they were going to play against me. Next I would look at their tactics, again seeing if they adjusted to the opponent or stuck with one for most or all of the games. As I said earlier I would look at their wins and losses seeing what the losing team did not do against my opponent and what the winning team did differently. I would try to get every ounce of information out the tools that the game has provided me with.

3. I would get some help people would give me suggestions on the tactics and get scouting help on new players. I would especially look at the U 21 team as it has some potential NT players. I see it staying at that, because you cannot advertise for people to join the offsite forum and support our teams if they already joined. Hopefully by the end of this next 2 season term, whoever wins this has increased the amount of people on and more discussion.

1. I tell him to start running instead of walking.
2. 3-4 days ahead of game so i have plenty of time to make sure my lineup is the best possible and if i want to change it i can.
3. I would get peoples opinion of the game and listen to what they have to say and put reports of the team on there and advertise the NT on offsite as well as other places.

Hell you guys really know how to spark some NT debate! Just had a browse through and easy to tell why you're NT is such a global powerhouse, especially with all the community involvement. Basically just popping in to give Nammsor's name a bit of a boost, he had our NZ side for 6 seasons, but basically taught everyone in our country the in's and out's of the game. During his terms the team was constantly overachieving with the limited roster that we had and his tactic and lineup selections were second to none (apart from when my players were rested). I think that he is the man for the USA NT job and can assure you that the amount of effort he put into a tiny country on the other side of the world was huge, surely he will have even more time and energy to run the team of his own country, and if that is the case the results should be outstanding.
All the best for the election and the upcoming season.
Hoddy

Cheers Hoddy!

i want to learn the casual side of our NT candidates

1.As a NT candidate what do you think your greatest strength is as a manager? What do you excel at?

2.Any favorite tactics? (perhaps a 3 players 2 fans approach?)

3.Favorite Color?

4.Pro-life or Pro-Choice? (EXTREMELY RELEVANT!)

5.Republican or Democrat? (you could lose half your vote here )

6.Your Favorite Game(for your team) as a manager? What tactics? Was it down to the wire or an absolute shutout?

7.Whats your sign?

8.If you had to pick three words to describe you as a candidate what would they be?

9.Obama or Osama or Chewbaka?

10.Favorite Real-Life Basketball Player?

11. relationship status? (hey if your married this might get you a sympathy vote )

Bonus Question (Opitional): (a lot of work to write out the skill breakdown but im totally just throwing this out there so new managers can see what is considered good skills to look for in different positions)

11.What is your ideal skill breakdown for a starting 5 of 110 skill sum players excluding tam ft and exp?

For example,
Ideal skill breakdown

I think there is a consensus that big men are what are keeping us from REALLY competing with the best teams in the world, but I have another question. Given that we only really have one true NT-caliber SF in the entire USA, what are your feelings regarding the position? Do you prefer all-around SFs? Prefer to play guards/bigs there depending on tactics?

I think it depends on the situation. In general I would much rather have an all-around SF that can attack and defend the frontcourt and backcourt. In my year of doing the international scouting for jfarb, I found that Spain and Canada have some awesome all-around SFs that are just scary. We're talking at least 10's and 11's in literally every skill. And the BEST part, is that they're like 60-90k in salary! I would absolutely encourage my fellow Americans to get onboard with this. It's a long, slow, tedious process, but it's SO worth it in the end for the good of your club team and the NT. Now obviously if we're going with unbalanced offenses/defenses, putting a 3rd big or guard would be more likely to have success. It's all about matchups, and I love the gameplanning aspect of BB.
