that said, magiker playing only his top five was the sort of gutsy move that could have gone quite wrong but was probably his only chance for victory. well done. too bad he doesn't get to play Valhalla as a reward.

It wasn't gutsy at all. I just forgot to set my lineup. Apparently that's what my default lineup was set to. If I had set it, I would have punted.

-- a five-man lineup beats the deepest team i've ever competed against.

To make it worse, none of those 5 guys have stamina better than 3. I've been training Walter since 18, so haven't really had a chance to work on stamina.

-- you beat Kentucky with a LI

He beat Kentucky on -1 enth, but he also put up way better ratings in that game than he did against me.

To be fair, outside of Bello, the 5 guys I played have a ton of secondary skills, and are very good for their salaries. They were specifically trained over several seasons for LI. However, I would expect Peluin's team to be similar.

For example here is Choluj, seems like 18 OD and 11 ID would be a good counter to Walter (whose skills are posted on offsite) but it didn't work out that way!

Jump Shot: tremendous Jump Range: sensational ↑

Inside Shot: sensational Inside Def.: prolific
Rebounding: proficient Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: pitiful Free Throw: awful

Experience: respectable

Poland NT keeps asking me to train 1on1 so he can get playtime but it doesn't work for Lincoln and Case so I haven't yet

122 skill points off the bench -- that's ridiculous.

i will be glad when you are gone. i know that Lucas Ray feels i am handing you the crown too quickly, but, seriously, who can match a team who has such a player on the bench. i know i can't.

Well, I think Walter wins that match-up every time. You know his skills are better, and his DMI is more than twice Choluj's this week. Add in HCA and +1 effort, and I think the PG match-up turned out pretty reasonably.

SG - turned out fairly evenly. Not shocking considering HCA and +1 effort.

SF - I think Hamby is actually a really bad match-up for Havens.

Where you really should have beat me is at PF and C. Eze is a nice player, but in 8GS against your guys in 9, it shouldn't have been close. And Bello sucks.

Yeah Bello is a work in progress and that was surprising but I feel like Choluj has enough defense to at least keep Walter in check. Walter wins but I would expect lower scoring, which could have given me the game. Oh well, if we meet in playoffs we can have a rematch

Sounds good. I'm putting my odds at 50-1.

Amazing, except for RB/JR, that is nearly the identical build of Zhizhi (I can't add any RB/JR due to his potential). I wish I had five or six more players just like him. Let me guess, you already have five or six players just like him (or better)?

Nah I only have 4 guys like that, and maybe I'll buy one more if I think that's the best long-term choice. The rest of the roster are specialists, especially my current big men are not special at all.

That Valhalla is a bad team is beyond dispute -- since going bot, they have lost every game but one by more than 100 points, and in that game Jr. Jazz did not benefit from V.'s very low GS ratings.

But the teams that have played Valhalla, including me, have missed a chance to achieve lasting greatness: setting the league's individual scoring record, which is now 80 points in a game.

We are down to two teams: Tucumcari and the Visionaries. Tucumcari has a player on the TL who i think could set the record. i could see Patient or Outside Isolation as producing great results.

For the Visionaries, helpless victims of a season gone terribly wrong, they could take out all their frustration on Valhalla. Because we know Choluj's skill set, letting him loose could produce the points, or someone else could take the honors.

for myself, my best pure scorer was injured the week we played Valhalla -- but i did consider it.

That would be a great way for Capra to end his career with the Whalers. Probably not likely to happen since I'm coming off a CT two games ago and Capra has become very foul-prone in his old age and might not make it through 48 minutes, but I'll give it a try.
