What are you going to do differently to get that gold? All I've heard so far are claims of a gold medal, but nothing else substantive. Please elaborate.

I m giving my opinions here, but I strongly disagree with the email communication method, the advantage of using the offsite forum allow all users to participate, experienced or not, whether to give solid suggestionsp for the upcoming game or just simply learn from reading the discussion is really beneficial to the USA community as a whole. In other words, teaching the winning culture like you said to all the users who have access to the offsite (basically everyone because you can sign up at anytime). Additionally, I don't think everyone will like the idea of using actual email for communication purposes simply because is much harder to trace back to other information previously mentioned in other emails.

The counter-effect to the offsite is that people who might not fell that they voice with all the other voices seemingly screaming. As well as the claims that they are less experienced, less worthy, less talented (i.e. never even made it to NBBA or whatever the marker for being a veteran is now).

There are other methods that are effective for inclusion of others... like called meetings through irc, google chat/voice, etc.

I do agree that email communication is less effective, although maybe a group National email once or twice a month could keep everyone in the loop that might not want to or have the time to spend on the forum. I could be a good way to include newer manages with useful advice perhaps.

TL;DR: Email should be used as one-way communication. Other tech should be used for interpersonal communication.

Edit (Question for all): Do you have plans to try to include more managers into the national discussion and if so, how do you plan to implement it?

I've seen a lot of elections go by since S12, and I'm just gonna put it out there as I see it.

GOLDBEAR: Not the same lovable GODBEAR I once fell in love with. Stop tarnishing his rep bruh

Thegame: I can tell you're a skilled manager, and you definitely have a solid resume. But running a micro nation is nothing like running the USA team. I led the Jamaican U21 once upon a time back in the day, did it prepare me for running the US? No, definitely not. I don't think you're a bad manager by any means, but I can just see this ending up like Jason's tenure as NT manager back in the day. (If anyone still remembers that)

Phyr: Not really sure what to say. I am sure you'd do just fine as manager, but I don't really see anything special happening. And that's ok! But I just don't see the risk-taking personality that can set a manager apart during a big decision. Don't always go by the book. What the offsite says isn't the say all end all if you feel differently.

Oriolekid: You've seen a lot and that history would give you a lot of perspective, I think you'd be a fine choice as well, but like Phyr I haven't really seen anything that sets you apart from everybody else.

"I hardly think you can describe your team as "America's Team". lol."
- Adchester, in regards to the Toccoa Panthers 8/1/2011

I will have no further comments regarding your anti-American sentiments.

Is using Motion in World's semifinal is not risky enough for you? I doubt any top country in the tournament would have considered it in that situation. I decided to TIE most of the second round games even though a loss would have prevented us from reaching a semis. I dont really agree with your characterization.

Any American is welcome to contribute to the discussion if I am reelected. The more viewpoints the better IMHO. During the finals, we had the input of about 20 managers. I know you aren't a fan of the offsite, but I think its the most effective and secure way to communicate. In the past I know we have have a PR guy make posts about U21 in the public USA forum, but I don't really like post information about the team in public places because I know that foreign nations browse our forum looking for info.

During game nights especially Tuesday, I try to be in the #USA chat room and the offsite chat. I am open to other types of communication, but I think the manager should be primarily focused scouting and gameplanning. We have nearly 400 players in the pipeline, and managing all of that takes a lot of time. If someone wants to step up and be our PR point person, I would be all for that to manage the other types of communication.

Agreed. Phyr actually did make some final decisions about TIE during the last Worlds run, we would not stand a chance making it to face Italy let alone walking away with a win if Phyr didn't make those decisions. I stand by Phyr with his bold moves last season.

Of all the debates I've seen within debate threads over the years I've been active, having a prolonged one attacking the offsite is one of the dumbest. I'm not saying you're wrong to do so- you are but that's not my point- but we haven't asked any useful questions for us candidates to answer, which is concerning, unless everyone has just conceded to Phyr already.
