My trainees are getting butchered aand i have to look for a way to train while staying in abbl

So easy to get lured into buying players or stuffing up your training plans all in an invain attempt to survive in the ABBL.

A lot easier to go up and stay up than what it was several seasons ago, but if your long term plan is on training then you need to be of strong character and resist the urge to be competitive in the ABBL.

Being an optomist I hope to demonstrate how, next season

Not sure how long will his OD pop tho

Williams (188cm) and Palmeri (201cm) are both 19yo and pop every 2 weeks when training single position "pressure" (both upto proficient OD). OD has become Ryders dominant skill after 8 pops have taken him from Pitiful to prominant but being his dominant skill and being a 20yo 206cm player, he gets about 2 pops every 5 weeks of single position "pressure" training.

Im told its best to train defence whilst the players are young, so that is my plan.

Come another 2 or 3 seasons time I can relax and train them JS and or Driving.

You all know I have bid on so many youngsters this season it has been crazy. Constantly bid $800,000 to a million on guys and wake up the next day and see they have gone for a few thousand more. I have also had a long term injury to my best traine Kumar. In the meantime I have been forced to train my blind pick draftee.

Armand Fyfe (27605614) Point Guard
Weekly salary: $ 2 729
Age: 18
Height: 6'4" / 193 cm
Potential: allstar

Potential, height, starting skills, all are wrong but it is incredible how fast these 18 year olds pop. It has been a long time since I have trained an 18 year old.

12/28/2012 Pressure for PG
Armand Fyfe ↑popped↑ in Outside Def. from mediocre to average .

12/21/2012 One on One for PG / SG
Armand Fyfe ↑popped↑ in Driving from mediocre to average .

12/14/2012 One on One for PG / SG
Armand Fyfe ↑popped↑ in Handling from average to respectable .

12/7/2012 Pressure for PG
Armand Fyfe ↑popped↑ in Outside Def. from inept to mediocre .

Four pops in four weeks is great but popping OD twice in two trainings is unheard of for me I am more used to three weeks per pop. It isn't sensible to train him but I have to say right now it is fun.

Its still competitive and trying to stay out of the relegation zone. Ived learn alot from abbl though so his season is more of training and observing :)

I copped a lot of crap from the ABBL wanna be elites when I first made the ABBL.

"Id brought my way there" and "I had no plan" or "buying my way there was going to set back my team so many seasons".

There may have been elements of truth in what they said although much to their surprise I bounced straight back up from div 2 the season after I was relegated, but most importantly the experience and what I learned about how the likes of Whitebeard Managed a team at that level, allowed me to develop a better understanding of the game which I never would have gained by just staying in Div 2.

It might take me another 3 or 4 seasons before they will be good enough to compete, but I look forward to having 3 Aussie allround SF/PF players in an ABBL team that hopefully will be strong enough to compete for Championships

1st post from new phone. Beware the team in 5th they threw a cup game. Avalon jets mean business

Who'd have thought that the Crockers wouldnt be in the top 6?

End of season ladder position will be important, unless of course Hadders or Avalon Jets decide they really "want it" (promotion)

I dropped a winnable game against the Players, when I played my weakest lineup, which has hurt me.

Got by this week, playing my weakest lineup against the Mad Rangas, and hope to beat both Mayham and Puffy Inch (cup), this week, but should I advance in cup I will seriously rethink before I put my weakest lineup on the court in a league game again.

Ladder position is going to be too important to risk dropping any more winnable league games

- Notice you didn't receive an achievement for this? hahah of course you "got by" I'm tanking bro, your weakest line up against my tanking weakest line up. The only mistake I made was not setting TIE. :(

I'd like to see the Jets and Hadders crush some skulls up in here!
But failing that I am glad to see it a more overall competitive league, even if the top teams maybe aren't as strong as the last couple seasons?

its interesting to note as well that the G Vips, Corio and Ho Addicts all made significant lineup changes this year - mainly replacing older guys but still quite significant changes.

Avalon Jets have gone an all Aussie line up.

What makes them dangerous apart from the millions they have stacked away and their experience and knowledge of the game is that;

They've signalled their intentions by throwing a winnable cupgame to ensure 2 league wins last week;

The 23 yo Siggy Jolly continues to improve and whilst he could dominate at PF, he is doing very well at SF. (where will he play in the games that matter?)

Let me tell you these ex ABBLers in Hadders and Avalon Jets are showing signs that they mean business and they're cashed up. (As oppossed to me who spent most his money on trainees)

even if the top teams maybe aren't as strong as the last couple seasons?

An interesting comment.

Twice before ive won Div 2 championships, and with the exception of not having Pedrosa at SF I reckon my current team is just as strong for this time of season as they were at the equivalent times in the seasons I won
