Reading over some of the things said in this forum, I think I better clear up something that people might have missed on guides or in the forums.

Height is NOT taken into account in the BuzzerBeater Game Engine. Height only matters for training (a small but noticeable increase in speed for SFs)

A Small Forward, in terms of on the court benefit, should not be judged on how tall they are.

This according to the BB creators this just means that a single skill already takes height into account.

For example
A 7'5" player with strong rebounding has the same chance as a 6'1" player with strong rebounding because the 6'1" makes up for his lack of height to equal the taller player in skill level.

Yes, it is a bit of a stretch but that is just the way it is. And you can trust me since I have been here since season 1, I know these things. Pretty sure the Game Engine changes have not included the introduction of height (unless the BBs are being particularly sneaky and not telling the GMs)

Creator of (http://www.buzzerbeaterstats.com) and (http://www.buzzerbeaternews.com/) -- Ex GM of Australia -- Division 1 winner of Italy Season 1 then moved team to Australia after the country was created by the BBs. Australian team manager for 2 seasons. Won various tournaments and division 1 titles in the following seasons.

Just to add to that example:

Player A is 7'5" with a rebound rating of strong
Player B is 6'1" with a rebound rating of strong

Both players will have the same rebounding effectiveness during a game but Player A will show quicker improvement in rebound training because of his height so that's how it all evens out.

What about a player with 6'9" height? Will that train fast in Rebounding? i.e. Will that height make a decent center?

i would say 6'9 is a good height for a PF. It will train fast in rebounding but not as fast as a 7'0 guy.

ah okay. I've got a decent draftee (Perennial Allstar, 18 years old, 6k+ salary) that I want to make into a guy for the Under 21 team, but was just wondering if the height was good, so hopefully it trains well :)

My U21 Center is 6'8. He does just fine, that being said he has pretty good guard skills.

Looks like a very good prospect for a future PF there. Nice pickup :)

Just remember to plan for some jump shot training and things like that at some stage. Don't just do Rebounding/IS/ID and nothing else.
