Last night we played against Peru and we won. In the end it was a clear win. The only aftertaste is that we could win with less effort. But like I wrote last week, Peru had nothing to lose and I expacted an all out game.

Our next opponent is Belarus. We will play at their homeground and it will be a really hard game. They are the favourites and we will need a really, really good run to steal this game. Let's see what the update brings on Friday.

So close... 5,5 minutes... in the last 5,5 minutes Beralus outscored us 20:5. Until than we were on the same level.
Before the game, it was clear that Belarus will play TIE, thanks to their home court advantage and their high enthusiasm. So I had to use CT to have at least a small chance.
A normal line up wouldn't help and thanks to our unique Widerström I could play a mixed up RnG. Säfen was our PF. I wanted him as the main scorer and he needed an effective missmatch. So PF was the only solution. Birgersson showed at the end of last season that he can play a RnG (U25 match against Germany). He moved to C and created a missmatch there. 7 out of 9 3ptrs speak for themselves.
I hoped that Mazzolini or Martinsson would score as the third force. And it was martinsson who showed a great performance. With Säfen at PF, I needed someone who could play as a SG and as a big. And that's where Widerström enterd the stage. He was our best passer today and defended as a C.
Bottom line is that the starting five outperformed Belarus. All five have a positive +/- rating!
Unfortunately you need more than five players and during the time when our bench was on the field, Belarus could close the gap. And during the last 5,5 minutes they showed a monstrous performance by outscoring us with 20:5.

Sorry that it wasn't enough again. There is always this feeling, that we need only one last step to hold our ground. Most of the losses were because of a meltdown of a couple of minutes.

During the next weeks I will play some scrimmages. We have a lot 32+ guys at the team and I will test how the team can run with a starting five which is 25-31 y/o.

During the next weeks I will nominate players. Some of them just to check their skills, some of them will play to test them.

Tomorrow we will play against one of the best SGs in BB. Giga is according to his six guardskills the no. 1 player. He has a fantastic game shape so I'm curious how strong he is.

Currently I'm going through all the NT games (only tournament, no scrimmages) and building up an all time ranking of all the NT players.
I hope I will be finished until the start of next season. So we will find out who was the greatest scorer, rebounder or floor general of all time in Sweden.

Is Thord getting his game #100 tonight?

Also, it seems like the logo and banner have stopped working. For both the big guys and U21 :?

Yes, he will get his 100th game. 60 trophy games and 40 scrimmages.

The homecourt design isn't working either...

Hey guys,

first of all thanks for supporting and voting me.

On Friday/Saturday I will scout ones more and set the NT to a basis team. Our group is set and we got lucky again -.- England (hosting the european championship), Russia and Hungary are three strong teams. Austria is also at least at the same level like us and the other three teams aren't weak. So bottom line we have to play some creative games

Some words about todays scrimmage:
Somehow weird. In the first quarter, we were way in front. The bosnian manager even asked if I really play with enthusiasm 1. But than the meltdown came in in q3 we were with 8 points behind. With a run we were back and the last quarter was even. Tjädermo had a fantastic scoring game, Säfen showed progress with his passing and Martinsson is still our old warrior.

Sandbom had his 100th game today. Congrats. I'm almost finished with the all time NT records and will post them asap.

Sweden 107 - England 117

The first game of the european championship was against the host and it was a drama. Once again.
In the first half we outperformed them, thanks to Fredriksson. He was an offensive beast and scored 27 points untilt he break. Unfortunately he was cold as ice during the second half. Luke Innes who is England's best player wasn't stoppable. I switched the whole defense order and set Widerström as his direct opponent. But Innes scored like he wanted... Against our best inside defender. In the end England moved a little bit away and secured the win.
Again we missed it by a small margin. I went with more effort, the right GPD guess and the best possible line up and still... ten points made the difference.

Once again we are part of the chaos group. Russia was crunshed by Iceland. Hungary lost against Norway. So our friendly scandinavian neigbours did what they could to "help us"
The two losses of Russia and Hungary leaves us in a still good position. Both concurrents for the second place lost. The problem: we have to play against them during the next two weeks. And this leaves me with a lot of headache.

Like always I will wait until the friday update and set the line up on sunday.
