Just logged in so I can't be 100% sure but John Barr has only played 13 minutes of 2.5 quarters. I have to think he went and got himself hurt.

Kinda sucks since I went R&G just to see if I could get him out of his slump.

EDIT: Nevermind. The dumbass fouled out and his backup is well on his way to doing so as well. This game is stupid sometimes.

my team isn't doing crap!!

don't know what is there to do to improve my team...
going back to DIV means that i need to sell some of my starters again which I do not want to do for sure.

Give yourself some more time to see whether your rebuild is working or not? Everybody (except Cleveland!) looks bad against the Phantoms.

Game 9 recaps

Prov City at Flames

Only took a squirt gun to put out this flame. Prov City 118 Flames 36

Cats at Phantoms

Disappointing night for the Cats. They put everything into this one and found that it would not be enough. Looking to go inside the Phantom defense held strong. More rebounds, less fouls and better shooting spelled victory for the Phantoms.
Phantoms 79 Cats 59

Phakeouts at Champaign

Phakeouts came out with some serious effort looking to pound the ball down low. Champaign was steady as they used an outside attack. The Phakeouts couldn't buy a 3 pointer but that didn't matter since Chapaign couldn't stop fouling. 23 points from the line was too much for Champaign to overcome. Phakeouts 78 Champaign 64

NP at VD's

3 words in this game................Benson, Benson, Benson. 43 points in 27 minutes. Unstoppable even for a NP team who put some effort into winning this one. NP had Csikos draining 23 but he could not keep his team in the game. Too many offensive rebounds and superior shooting was too much for NP to overcome. VD's 88 NP 64

Blasters at Tachenko

With Tachenko's big men it is no wonder that the game plan is to go down low. Mayagoita came up big again with 32 points but a curious site happened with his rebounds only 7. On paper this one looked to be real close but better shooting and more effort meant a win for Tachenko and company. Tachenko 108 Blasters 88

Challengers at Dutchmen

Both teams looked to come out fast and furious. Gagis and Hutson had 46 points between them but it was not enough to overcome the 38 from Skalec. Slakec added 4 blocks and 12 rebounds and the Dutchmen big men didn't have an answer. Challengers had a great 1st and 4th quarter and it was too much to overcome for the Dutchmen. Challengers 104 Dutchmen 92

Allstars at Crazy's

The Crazy's put 6 players in double digit points with an inside attack. The Allstars fought back shooting from the outside. Putting 5 players in double digit scoring was impressive but allowing the Crazy's to outrebound the Allstars by 33 proved that the Crazy's put more into it and it paid off. Crazy's 101 Allstars 75

Crank Dat at Terrors

Crank Dat's streak came to an end at the hand of the Terrors. Both teams came out firing and played an outside defense. This one simply came down to a home court and more effort. Not anything outstanding to report here but the bottom line is Terrors shot a whole lot better. Terrors 108 Crank Dat 80

MVP Benson 43 points

Intra leagu record
Big 8 5 wins
Great 8 3 wins

Overall Big 8 11 wins
Great 8 5 wins

Thanks for the props but Phantoms were playing for the cup and neither of us had our normal starters. Our game was the exception not the norm. With that being said Phantoms are a formidable team not as much for their offense but for their defense. Look at the stats. Bobcats.............stick it out, stick with it the season is still young.

Great Recaps! It was nice to lay the Goats to rest from the Cup. HAHAHA. Crazies vs PCI coming soon! This may be the rilvalry that goes on in div 3 for infinity and beyond. I'd rather play the Cav's!

Yeah, my Goats were laid to rest. I put them out to pasture. I certainly didn't expect to see Carmona come into the game since you haven't really used him all season in the Cup but you threw me a curve there. It's no surprise to see Carmona come out big once again versus inferior talent guarding him, such as Paul Wiles, my future SF/PF. {shaking head}

Seriously speaking, I was ready to leave. I was afraid you'd come out ready to leave, too, and enter with hardly a lineup forcing my team into an unwanted victory. I needed the training minutes and that damn cup was going to kill me were I to have kept on winning. Truth be told, I've been entering cup matchups facing against the perfect opponents all seasons as none were ever strong enough to sustain the onslaught my bigs brought while playing the 1-2 spots. Now that we're back at the G.O.A.T. Ranch for actual scrimmages, we can get some serious training done with a care in the world for a stupid victory.

My last matchup was against a team that should have one. I went tol training Wiles/Craven/Ocampo at the 3-4 spot which put Cantrell/Titus (1st game back from injury) back in the lineup at the 2 and Radeka and our newly signed Guard Song Khoi at the 1. Well, they came right out with every intent to win while I chose to TIE (once again), and put up a 25-11 First Quarter with ease. Well, we managed to claw ourselves out of that and come away with an 86-83 victory on 37.4% shooting (6 of 30 from beyond), horrible rebounding. Turns out, the key factor of this game was our 6-1 Ast-TO Ratio.

God, I hate being in Div IV. There is absolutely no chatter going on in those forums, no matter what I do to promote it.

FYI, my rankings are delayed due to computer problems. I'm using my netbook for now but it's processor is too weak to run my product.

Game 10 recaps

Crazy's at Crank Dat

The good news for the Crazys is that the 8th Wonde of the World Junde only had 7 points in the 2nd half. The bad news is he only played the 3rd quarter and oh he still had 35 points. That's right 28 points in the first half did enough damage to sink the Crazy's boat early on. The Crazy's kept Barry and Marmolejo home to stay fresh for the Cup game and the rest of the team looked relaxed but bottom line is even with Barry and Marmolejo they would have struggled to keep the Crazy's in this one. Crank Dat 107 Crazy's 85

Terrors at Prov City

Prov City came out hot in the 2nd half which helped increase a lead that became unsurmountable for the Terrors. Both teams are still competing in the Cup and may be resting some starters but Prov City controlled this one early. Alot of guys were double digit scorers but a huge rebounding lead and much better shooting sunk the Terrors. Prov City 110 Terrors 81

Flames at Bobcats

Anyone noticing a trend with the Flames. They may have to rename at the end of this season. Bobcats 106 Flames 39

Phantoms at Phakeouts

Anytime your high scorer drains 8 it is time to rethink things. Phakeouts get rocked at home. Phantoms 116 Phakeouts 30

Champaign at NP

Both teams came out looking to fire away and that they did. Unfortunately for Champaign the 3 ball rarely landed and they didn't defend the NP guards from beyond the arc. NP outrebounded Champaign badly which didn't help with the catch up efforts any. Better shooting and more rebounds put NP up early and it stayed that way. NP 112 Champaign 83

VD's at Blasters

VD's came up with a big win tonight. Anytime you play the Blasters you need to bring your best and Ken Wilson did just that tonight. 36 points by Wilson helped blast the Blasters right off the court. Anytime you shoot 50% from 3 pt land teams better sit up and notice and figure out how they will guard him. Well guys better start thinking. Wilson outshot the guards from the Blasters and that sealed the deal. VD's 85 Blasters 70

Tachenko at Challengers

This one was a close one..............until the 4th quarter. Mayagoita was a beast again draining 27 pts and grabbing 16 boards. His PG Butler had 27 pts but nobody from Tachenko had an answer for Paul Overstreet. Overstreet put in 38 and Skalec who is often in the headlines was strong again with 28. Both teams had a great game but this one came down to the 4th quarter and the home team came out ahead. Challengers 118 Tachenko 106

Dutchman at Allstars

Dutchmen came out swinging in this one and delivered a knock out punch. Both teams came out with the same game plan but the Dutchmen put more into this one tonight. Hutson came out hot.........as usual and drained 28 on the Allstars defense. Personal fouls absolutely killed the allstars tonight. The Dutchmen capatilized and that spelled victory.
Dutchmen 90 Allstars 76

MVP
Junde 35 points in 35 minutes

Honorable mention Wilson 36 points

Intra League Record

Big 8 14 wins
Great 8 10 wins

Great 8 closes the gap tonight.
